We smelled some delicious Indian food after coming out of the dentist. We googled and found this place within walking distance. I was craving butter chicken. It took a long time for the food to come out. When it finally came out, I think they got my order wrong. The butter chicken was spicy and not sweet. It had these green pieces in it, that I’ve never seen in butter chicken. I didn’t want to offend the server, but I had to ask if it was butter chicken. He claimed it was. However, I’ve never tasted butter chicken like this before unless I’ve been lied to all my life. The noodles that my wife order were ok, but not to her taste. Overall, it did not satisfy our craving. We took our food to go and we were given clear thin plastic pastry boxes, that were not meant to hold steaming hot food. I’m sure others have great experiences here, but I’m just commenting on our experience and it left a lot to be desired.

It is not open for dine-in. I had heard their advertisement on 102.9 FM radio and it is just the hype, as of now. I got to know that they are taking only online orders for carryout, after personally going there and was disappointed.
However, I met a lady, Sailaja, who was very nice, courteous and friendly. I give her 5 stars.
Having gone there, I bought Obbattu/Bobbatlu, which was good and reasonably priced. Also, I bought Ginger/ Allaṁ pickle, and paid $ 16.00, which I thought was exorbitant.
May be things will improve here. But, as of now, there’s nothing much to write home about.
Also, their website has wrong information. Though it is supposed to be vegetarian restaurant, it lists non-vegetarian dishes and I brought it to the attention of Sailaja. There’s a lot of work need to be done first.
And hopefully people will not get carried away by listening to their advertisement on the radio.

It’s the best keep secret but need more exposure because Rajani’s Kitchen is a very cozy to sit and eat and the food is so awesome. The owner is very customer friendly and quite amusing.
If you looking for authentic Indian food, look no further…a secret hidden restaurant.

I went to this place last Friday evening, place is empty I am onlyy customer there. I especially went for their Indian type yougurt and mango pickle.Yougurt is priced high, did not mark wether it’s organic or other added ingrediants. It’s slimy in texture and when I tried to make yougurt from it at home it turned slimy too .The mango pickle is nowhere near authentic taste that we get in India.

Rajini’s just opened up across the street from where I work so I dropped in to check it out. They were not fully open yet but the Gentleman offered me a generous plate of spicy delicious chicken, an awesome vegetable soup, yogurt, rice, bread, and a sweet treat for only $8.99. Well worth it! The owner told me his wife does the cooking and that she had been doing catering for years. Fast forward to today and he shows up at my work with free food for me and all of my co-workers! Today we had Chicken Biryani , yogurt, spicy chicken, and sweets. Anyways these guys are super nice and serve very tasty food. Check them out!

A hidden gem for home-style South Indian food! I’ve been here several times and have tried a variety of dishes. All the curries, dals, and everything else taste absolutely delicious. Their platters are a great choice when you want a homestyle meal but are too lazy to cook it yourself.
But,there are two areas for improvement. First, the system for finding out the daily menu is confusing. It would be much more convenient for customers if the menu was posted on their website, Instagram, and Facebook page instead of having to call and wait for it. Second, the restaurant closes quite early in the evenings at 7pm. This may be inconvenient for some customers

If there were an option to give a negative rating, I would give -10. I ordered takeout and found a hair in the biryani. I absolutely would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The taste was and this is by far the worst Indian restaurant I’ve ordered from in the US.

We ordered bisibella bath, vegetable biriyani, chappathi with paneer butter masala, curd rice, mango lassi, samosas and kessari , every dish was fresh and flavorful. the staff was warm and welcoming

This restaurant is a scam. I ordered takeout and picked up the food, but the next day I noticed on my bank statement that they charged me an extra $16. When I called, they claimed it was an 18% gratuity. They are adding gratuity on their own without consent. Be sure to double-check your bill before paying. This is one of the biggest restaurant scams I’ve seen in Virginia.

This is the worst restaurant by far in Virginia. I went for dine in, but the food was inedible and smelled bad. When I asked to have it replaced, they refused, which led to a heated argument. During this staff told me that I’m on a visa after all and can’t do anything since he’s been in US for 30 years. This was completely unacceptable. For your health and dignity, never visit this restaurant.
