If you’re ever passing through Pineville, Kentucky, you absolutely need to stop at locally owned Leonz House of Steak and Subs. It is, without a doubt, a hidden gem.
I am a frequent visitor to the area, and somehow managed to miss this fantastic spot until early 2025. Since discovering it, I’ve enjoyed multiple dinners there, and every visit has been consistently amazing. The owner is and his staff provide southern hospitality at its best.
The food is delicious, the portions are generous, and the service is always friendly and efficient. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Leonz is worth seeking out. Highly recommended!

While visiting Pineville Kentucky, my wife and I found this nice little restaurant right off the square. The food and music was really good and after the meal the owner, Scottie, came out and talked with us. We told him our last name and he told us he was kin to Greg Page, who was one of the 1st two African American players signed to play football for The University of Kentucky! Also, Scottie, himself was inducted into the Middlesboro Sports Hall of Fame for basketball wrestling and track! He didn’t mention it to us. We happened to see a plaque with his picture on the wall in the upstairs VIP lounge. This place had a vibe that was unique and unforgettable. Very low lighting. We could hear music while we were out walking so we followed our ears and this is where we ended up. The song we could hear was “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge. Truly an unforgettable experience! We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone! By the way our waiter “Aaron” was really nice and helpful!

Our family stopped here on a whim while passing through on a road trip. This is a gem of a place and the proprietor became an instant friend. Steaks were some of the best I’ve had and the shrimp were great as well. The Mac-n-cheese sandwich appetizer with the chili dip is amazing. My wife and I both cook a lot and usually are a bit picky with our restaurants. We were both pleased with every item that came to our table….

This place is a hole in the wall GEM. It’s kind of hidden but those are normally the best places. To start off our waitress was very attentive and everything she recommended was spot on and let me tell you the chef knows what they are doing cause the food is incredible. I live about 10 minutes away and I had never heard of this place but I’m so glad I found it. The only reason I give the atmosphere a 4 is because the sitting is very close and and having a big family it would be very cramp but the food and service tops all of that and I’d give this place a 100/10 and the price was very reasonable for the way everything is now. We got 2 Philly steak meals with fries 10/10, a 10oz steak with baked potato and house salad and a kids 4oz steak with fries and the deep fried pickles as an appetizer. It was all amazing and it totaled out to $59.95 and I think that’s an incredible price for all that compared to fast food these days so I highly recommend this place.

We were traveling from Kingsport, TN and stopped by Leonz. We love “hole-in-the-wall” spots where the locals eat, and this place did not disappoint! We ordered a burger, fries, and a Philly cheesesteak—all delicious. We were lucky to have Leon as our server; he was amazing and made the whole lunch experience even better. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last!

Me and my husband was passing through the restaurant came up on Google maps we stopped in. It was delicious. The candied grilled yams were perfect. My shrimp was delicious. My husband catfish was delicious and his fried potatoes we’re excellent! everything was Delicious! It is a great little restaurant! The staff is very friendly and easy to talk to. I love the down to earth atmosphere!

This is a great family owned restaurant with awesome atmosphere and music. Our server, Ashlyn, was very attentive and enjoyable to talk to and knowledgeable about what they offer. Leon was also very friendly and enjoyable for fun conversation. The food was delicious. I highly recommend trying this restaurant. 10 out of 10.
