Surprisingly good Japanese grill. Really simple over the counter order spot in a small locale with big flavor. Portion size is great and the tasty grilled veggies give the fluffy rice a perfect pairing. Perfectly seared chicken, steak and shrimp that can be drizzled with thier signature house sauce for the full mouth watering effect. Definitely a surprise gem in the small town of Newton. Awesome eats!

Absolutely love the food ! Great portions for the money. The service was ok but the worker wasn’t friendly at all. We had quite a big order & the guy taking the order got really frustrated & stormed off. He then sent someone else but wasn’t much better. All in all it was all good. The service could’ve been better but the food was great.

This food was horrific… the staff was amazing but the food was incredibly nasty. The rice had corn in it and smelled really bad. My shrimp sauce was warm. A young guy threw everything in the bag causing it to fall out inside the bag. Just go somewhere else please!! Save yourself. This was not Japanese food

Use to love this place, absolutely our favorite. Had some friends in from out of state and said told them this place would be great. They forgot a meal and we have the receipt to prove what we ordered and what they had refunded. Younger teen argued with us and had someone else, owner I guess, hop on the phone and was rude with us as well. Told us there’s nothing they can do about it. Horrible service.

I am confused at how there are such good reviews. It was awful. It was like the soy sauce cap fell off and the whole bottle went in the rice. I am not trying to be rude. I am kind of upset that it says “healthy option” and it was so salty, we couldn’t finish eating it. The portion is a fair size, but it is a ton of rice, which is also not a healthy option. False advertising. We won’t be back.

It’s not the best, but not the worst. I like their steak hibachi with extra mushrooms. The owner, Clay, is a super nice guy and always has a smile for you. But you get three stars because the woman who runs the place, his daughter, is always in a bad mood, never smiles, and never says thank you. Perhaps he should consider giving her some extended time off.

Was a regular here, used to be a nice comfy place when they still acted like they cared. My final trip here was greeted with a smart mouthed teen running the window who treated me like a scumbag for finding a carrot slice in my tea. Told the young one in a pleasant manner about the situation, i was returned with eye rolling and a smart and smirky look and replied im only going to refill this one time only, like i put the carrot in my tea.Yea, i always roll with a pocket full of sliced carrots! Will starve before returning!
