I always wanted to come to this place, and I finally was able to go yesterday. However when I was greeted at the door , instead of a Hello , Welcome, I was asked if I had reservations. I said no I didn’t and I wasn’t aware you needed too. However I was accommodated and I also felt like at that moment I should have just left. The place is very cozy and the food looks good and tasty except for the turkey sandwich that I had, was not happy that the bread was not toasted and maybe I should have asked first. However what I was mostly disappointed was I asked for a slice of turkey with jam for my 3 year old granddaughter, and was given half of piece of bread with one slice of turkey and the jam on the side, which was okay however never did I imagined I was going to be charged for one slice of turkey $8. I think that was a bit too much and overcharged. I could have said something but instead , I will not be returning any soon there. I think it would have been more appropriate for the waitress to have advised me or made a suggestion or perhaps offer another option. I would have shared my turkey and removed the other ingredients. I wasn’t impressed, and I believe that first impression are important. Didn’t feel very welcomed and maybe this is something that the owners should look into and they may want to consider how they go about when greeting people at the door!

Always-delicious food and high quality ingredients. Casual bistro atmosphere. Warm, friendly, and small. There is pleasant outdoor seating when the weather is right. Chef Paul is kind and personable. I especially love the wild mushroom panini, Bistro salad, and the boucherie burger with a veggie patty. The mimosas are quite generous and a real treat. Best restaurant in Jacksonville.

On a long road trip this was a wonderful stop. So glad we found it. Great food, can’t speak much to atmosphere as all I saw was one table, but it was comfortable on a chilly autumn eve.

Everything was delicious! We ordered three different sandwiches to share, and each one was better than the last. The Monte Cristo was so good, and the Arnold Palmer might be the best I’ve ever had. Loved the outdoor seating area too!

If I could eat at C street bistro every day I would and be happy about it. Everything was perfectly executed and created with such care and creativity. Not to mention you can tell how fresh everything was in the locally sourced produce and house ouse made pretty much everything. There were no complaints about any aspect of the meal and that’s really hard to find. We have the special of the night which was a swordfish with lobster sauce and bacon wrapped green beans. We also had the wedge salad and boucherie burger. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary as well as hang out and listen to great music they had playing. Cannot wait to return and try out other items on the menu.

We stopped here after some solid trail miles. The sammies and soup lunch were amazing! 100% recommend the club and tomatoe soup combo.

A cozy space with a welcoming atmosphere. The menu is by an amazing chef with something for everyone. The pizza crust is one of the best I’ve ever tasted, and we want to come back to Jacksonville just to try the lunch menu

My wife and I had dinner there – I really enjoyed my sous vide lamb, haricot verts, and spuds! They have a nice wine selection with local selections. The atmosphere is to my taste – small and funky inside.. with nice outside tables too. We sat inside because of smoke and were able to watch the kitchen which was a plus.

This restaurant feels like a romantic little bistro you just happened upon around a corner in Paris, but in the heart of historic and lush Jacksonville, OR. The ambiance is intimate and lively, with eclectic painting and sculpture created by chef, Paul Becking, who thankfully is just as creative, inspired and adept in the kitchen. The food is AWESOME. Bursts of surprising flavors, well-balanced, unconventional takes on traditional dishes, and ingredients grown in their garden. Lovely wine and beer selection. Lovely service. Lovely everything! I’m still craving the nasturtium pesto, Brussels sprouts, and grilled Caesar. I can’t wait to make it back the next time I’m in the area.
