I stopped by R.G. Strickland’s Mercantile for lunch and was pleasantly surprised! This charming spot has so much local flavor—literally and figuratively. The folks working there were incredibly friendly too—it felt like stepping back in time in the best way. If you’re passing through Danielsville, do yourself a favor and stop in. You won’t regret it!

I’m always a bit disappointed with the food here. Today I ordered the chef’s salad. It was passable. The lettuce leaves were left huge when all I have is a small plastic fork. I wish it was a better value for the money. The service is always fabulous.

Had a nice lunch at the newly renovated RG Strickland Mercantile. The atmosphere is incredible and feels like stepping back in time to simpler days. The service was kind and courteous. My only complaint was that the food felt pretty pricey and a little underwhelming, to be honest. It’s worth a visit, for sure, if for nothing other than the atmosphere.
