The tortellini was good and could not be faulted, but we felt that it wasn’t as special as the meatloaf.
We will be back next time we are in GNP to try more items from their menu!
Food was fantastic. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was great.
Host was very kind and sat us immediately each time. We sat in the main room twice and once in the bar area by the fire. All wonderful.
We had 2 great servers…
Matthew from Savannah, Georgia and Kort from Arizona. They were both amazing.
They have a nice wine selection but I drank every specialty cocktail they offered and they were all fantastic. My favorites were the huckleberry mule and huckleberry Gin fizz.
Great drinks!
The food was outstanding. Everything we had was top notch really.
Grilled baguette on point.
Bison meatballs so good.
Caesar Salad was delicious.
Chicken curry was surprisingly tasty.
Chicken breast was very good.
Bison meatloaf was superb.
One of the best filet mignons I’ve had in a while, cooked to perfection.
Huckleberry cheesecake was divine.
If you’re anywhere near GNP definitely eat here (at least once)
PS

The cheese board and dip were perfect starters to go with our libations laced with local absinthe.
I had the Flathead Lake Trout which was perfectly cooked.
We ended our meal with the Huckleberry beignets which were fabulous! Not too sweet, but a great treat for the end of our meal.
Looking for a spot for a snazzy dinner right outside the Glacier Park west Entrance look no further!
A shift in reservation bringing it forward one day became a tactic used against us when our dining experience took a turn.
We were seated outside facing a main highway and very active train track which was a charm we were willing to lean into. Kate our server was phenomenal, making sure we tasted the wines we wanted and recommended dishes she thought we’d like.
We settled in to our drinks and in came the bees, not one, not two but ten to twenty all over us, the drinks and eventually the apps. It was so disturbing that we went inside to ask if there was a chance to move our table inside. To say that Tom was condescended is an understatement. His response to a woman asking to move inside was “this is Montana what do you expect there are bugs!” And “oh, you’re the one who moved your reservation right?” We have no problems with bugs, have been in the mountains for 5 days, we also asked to move our reservation and at no point were told we would no longer be inside. He refused to help us! Even after asking if there was anything we could do to deter the bees, we were waved away.
We moved ourselves to a corner, covered our colorful clothing in their black napkins and concocted a water and sugar distraction when no one was offering any solutions. This didn’t work at all, bees swimming in our food, floating in our drinks, landing on our faces, you name it they were doing it.
Kate acknowledged the struggles we were having, was very willing to help. Her service was so wonderful. The food we had was amazing, their chef is incredible. But how a manager can ruin a dining experience over an unwillingness to help paying customers is so disappointing.
Will not come back.
dessert we did apple crumble with miso caramel, Blondie and malt ice cream. It was a perfect way to end our evening. It’s a must visit when coming to glacier national Park
Started with a smoked trout dip appetizer which was awesome. House smoked fish which was clear the attention to detail. Good portion sizes as well and easily shareable for 2 people.
For main dishes, we got the Idaho steelhead trout and a lovely pork chop. Both proteins were cooked to perfection and extremely fresh. The sauce pairings were lovely and everything was extremely well balanced. Rich but not overly heavy.
To top off dessert, we had the beignets which had some delicious local huckleberry flavor. The chefs know what they’re doing and it shows. Wait staff was extremely friendly and quick.
