I stopped in today and had one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long time. I usually order the triple berry oat smoothie, but the staff encouraged me to try the new Chocolate Covered Strawberry smoothie and WOW, it was absolutely delicious. I’m so glad I listened.
The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Madelyn, who truly made my day. I was having a rough day, and our conversation about healthy food choices and smoothie options was genuinely motivating and uplifting. Her positive energy made such a difference.
She also recommended the Chipotle Chicken Club Flatbread and jalapeño corn, and let me just say… it did NOT disappoint. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.
Between the amazing food, great service, and the kindness shown by the staff, this place has officially become my new weekly spot. Thank you, Madelyn, and thank you to the entire team for such an awesome experience I’ll definitely be back!

Tropical Smoothie Café never disappoints! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made exactly how I like it. Everything tasted great and came out quickly. Maddy was especially amazing—she was so sweet, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She even encouraged me to download the app for rewards and to come back, which I really appreciated. It’s always nice when someone goes the extra mile with customer service. I’ll definitely be returning!

I don’t know who the young guy who was at the register tonight thought he was, but I am the wrong one to catch an attitude with. I was redeeming a T-Mobile Tuesdays offer when I mistakenly scanned the offer before telling him the smoothie. He tells me in the most condescending attitude “how I’m I supposed to give you the order if you don’t tell me the one you want”. He was right but why the nasty attitude? I told him, first off drop the attitude, that we are humans and make mistakes. He probably thought I would stay quiet and immediately took it and said yes you’re right. I don’t like to leave bad reviews especially for places that I love the product but this guys customer service skills were terrible in this interaction. I should say he was kind after that

My first time coming to this location. Walked in and wasn’t greeted. No hi, no hello. The Indian lady named Dee(the name she gave me) had a straight face. Didn’t make me feel welcomed at all. Ive been buying from TSC for 10 years now. Started out in Texas and was happy I found one in CT. I absolutely love tropical smoothie cafe in general is why I came here. I just did not like the customer service which to me is super important to me.

Amazing Crew, very friendly and welcoming. My favorite Smoothie that I get every time is the Mango Monsoon. They finally heard the feedback and made it a permanent smoothie. I am so happy. Their food is great too, a lot of flavors.

Every time my wife and I drove by this location in Milford, we’ve been meaning to stop in for a visit. We finally did that on a Friday around 8pm. We almost didn’t go in to the establishment because it looked dark inside and there were stools set up on top of the tables in the windows. Luckily we spotted a small “OPEN” sign glowing green and decided to go inside. The place was pretty clean inside.
We were met first by a young lady wearing her mask, who promptly announced that they weren’t serving food anymore for the night. Good thing we only wanted to try the smoothies. She was joined shortly after by another co-worker (No mask on) who was blasting some loud, annoying music at full volume from her phone. The loud music was briefly interrupted because a call came through on her phone that she had to answer before fulfilling our orders.
The cup size of the smoothie was surprising large for the price. I’ve paid more for less at Robex, another smoothie establishment in CT. I had no complaints about the taste of mine. However as we were driving home, my wife took 2 sips of hers and promptly said it tasted like ice and water, absolutely no taste. I tried hers and had to agree with her… somewhat. I thought it tasted like muddy water.
In summary…there was really nothing tropical about this place. I like the price for the size of the end product, but I lost out by having to toss one of the smoothies out. Someone should introduce that employee playing the loud music from her phone to a pair of earphones. Not everyone has the same taste in music. I felt bad for the other employee in the store who was stuck listening to that for an entire shift. So even though I liked the price, size, and taste of my smoothie, this may be the first and last visit to this establishment.

I’m only putting a review because I just felt really ripped off. I ordered on DoorDash so already high fees, tip, to receive what was in the photos for literally $35. I chose this over Robeks, all the other acai places to get this…. Unbelievable

I had no idea the serving size was so small. Not only that, it did not taste good. The acai was pre-frozen in the cup so it had a freezer taste. Very disappointing. I was hoping for fresh flavors.
