Indian food is my favorite for when I’m feeling under the weather. It perks me right up. It’s the use of healing herbs and spices, which is why quality is important. I was impressed with the quality here. I had the butter chicken, naan, and Indian tea. I would have taken more photos but I couldn’t wait to eat! The butter chicken was perfectly flavored and spiced. The texture of the rice was cooked perfectly. As well as the naan. The tea was perfectly sweetened. They deserve a lot more dine-in business than seen on a cold winters Tuesday! The environment is vibrant. There’s a box of Kleenex at every table, which makes so much sense considering you’re coming in from the cold weather and potentially eating spicy food.

I’ve been so excited to finally have a full service Indian restaurant in Lansing proper + Bombay Mahal did not disappoint!
The service was swift + the servers were kind.
We ordered:
Chicken Samosas — Flaky, flavorful + buttery dough (which, to me, was more reminiscent of empanadas than is typical with samosas) filled with well-seasoned minced chicken. The accompanying Tamarind + Mint Chutneys were on point.
Goat Saag — Tender meat, creamy spinach sauce.
Garlic Naan — Perfectly baked.
I am looking forward to returning to try more dishes!

It’s so great to have an Indian restaurant on the west side! Bombay Mahal is wonderful. I had the butter chicken and my husband had the chicken vindaloo and both were great! The naan delicious as well. The gentlemen who work there were kind and attentive. Service was quick, portions were generous, and the prices were fair. I am so happy that we can get great Indian food without driving into East Lansing. Run, don’t walk to Bombay Mahal!!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a restaurant where the food is so good that I want to eat it every day, Bombay Mahal is one of these restaurants! The food is delicious, generous portions, attentive staff. I’ve been twice since discovering this restaurant and will be back for sure! There’s a whole menu to try! The Chana Masala is my favorite (so far), garlic naan bread is amazing as are the samosas (and the sauces served with them). Definitely worth a visit or a take out order if you’re anywhere near Bombay Mahal!

I routinely get take-out from Bombay Mahal. The staff here are super friendly, and the food is always amazing. The Aloo Palak and Peshwari Naan tonight were magnificent. The Mint Chutney at this place is next-level (a hint of sweetness, and that is perfect for me!). And if you order Samosas, you get 3 instead of the 1 or 2 you’d get from other places. This is the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I’m so happy you opened in my neighborhood!

The biryani was out-of-this-world delicious. The meat was very tender, and it was an incredibly generous portion as well. I’m looking forward to the leftovers for lunch today!
Stopped in for a to-go order, and the gentleman who took my order was very friendly, and gave me an excellent recommendations (Try the potato naan if you haven’t!) I will definitely be a repeat customer!

We ended up getting way more food than we needed because we wanted to taste a variety. I always enjoy their paratha and we got some additional garlic naan. We also enjoyed the navratan korma, chicken saag, and butter chicken. Their prices are reasonable, and the service is great! They are a hidden gem in Lansing – check them out!

Really enjoyed the service and our food here! It’s nice to have an Indian option in this area of landing. Probably the best garlic naan bread we’ve had — super fluffy yet crispy. Highly recommend the butter chicken and chicken samosas as well.

We had such a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant! The sauces were absolutely incredible. The vegetable pakora was another standout: perfectly crispy and so delicious.
We also tried both the mango lassi and the banana shake, and honestly couldn’t pick a favorite—they were both so good! Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving amazing Indian food and great hospitality.

We were excited to have an Indian restaurant on the Westside, and the food did not disappoint! I had chicken Tikka masala and my husband had sag paneer with a side of butter naan. Both were flavorful and exactly what we hoped for.
I’ve been back a few times, and their food is consistently good. I had the chai and it was great, too.
I went for lunch for the first time, and I wish they had a lunch menu for the price and time-conscious among us.
