My Wife and I are Senior Citizens. We went to Subway in Elmwood Park, NJ on 6/17/23 and had a Subway coupon for 3 foot longs for 17.99 which we showed to the Server. We placed our order and he charged us 36.75. When we questioned the amount he said that they do not accept coupons. We asked for the Manager who wasn’t there, then asked for a refund and was told that only the Manager can issue refunds. I asked for a Senior discount and was told that they do not do that either. When I went home I emailed Subway headquarters 3 times and never got a response. I tried calling to speak to someone and the message said they do not accept phone calls but only emails. Terrible experience! Its a shame that Subway treats their Customers this way, especially Seniors.

Since the old owner passed away, this place has gone downhill. In the last few months, they have not gotten a single order right, there’s always a new staff member who seems to know less than the last. At first I thought the language barrier of some of the employees might have been an issue so I ordered online so they could read it AND STILL WRONG. After tonight, I corrected the guy making my sandwich and he talked back saying I was wrong, until I pulled up the sandwich on GrubHub and he STILL wouldn’t make it correctly (Cold Cut Combo, has bologna, ham and pepperoni, he tried just putting bologna and charging me the same price, saying that’s just what it’s called.) I used to come here regularly for years, I’ll go out of my way now to find another.

They have new employees now so that’s a plus, the restaurant has an overall positive vibe and it’s very inviting, perfect for a quick bite to eat or to dine in, also, they should update the music accordingly, noticed that they have like a podcast on, above all, it’s a good Subway location…

Extremely poor service. NEVER order online for pickup @ this Elmwood park; this location has a habit of marking the order complete on apps but not prepare the sandwiches. It’s woefully short staffed and incredibly apathetic management who DO NOT care for customer service. I have experienced these behaviors several weekends at this location. At one time the poor person who was working called in the management (in front of customers) for back up help as there were a lot of people waiting on a Friday and she was the only one working, but the owner said that they didn’t care how long people have to wait!!..

This place does not know how to treat employees, the manager there who they call “mama” is very mean, she does not respect people with disabilities, this place is a shame, screams at the employees and also has no consideration. In every company there is time to train people right . And after 5 days people could still have questions and be confused . And because of people like her this place has bad reviews cause their employees are not well treated . Shame on this person

I used to come here more often but took a break ,Today i decided to come back and got the samething i always get when i go to subway and got charged more than what i used to pay i asked if price went up she said no everything is the same it was ok not a big of a deal but i get home the bread was hard i mean it was tosted like i asked, i always ask for tosted and it never that hard and also the cookies where very hard as well they are usually soft. They are getting bad now i guess this place is not the same it used to be before
