We went to the Victoria location today (Nov 8/25) and it just wasn’t the same. The server was fast and in a hurry during lunch rush. We understand it’s busy but still tasted same except for the Vietnamese sandwich my friend had. The bread was dry and crunchy and fell apart.
I want to start off with being appreciative of the extremely welcoming staff and the cleanliness. I could smell very faintly the bleach on the table, but this assures me they take cleaning very seriously.
I’m very happy to say that my food was delicious. You can choose a spice level from 1 to 5, I chose 1. It was enough spice to add flavour without being over powering. The soup consisted of beef brisket, shank, pork cakes, egg plant, thick noodles and lemon grass beef broth. It was topped with lime, bean sprouts, cilantro and green onion. The flavours just went together extremely well and the size of the noodle soup you get is a great value for your money.
Not to mention, I ordered and got my food within less than 10 minutes.
The bubble tea is easily some of the best in the city. It isn’t just a powder mix like some places, they use real mango purée. Also, they don’t just add honied boba, they also add mango jelly AND real whipped cream. Great, refreshing treat. It was a perfect way to end my lunch.
I’m absolutely blown away by how welcoming and inviting the staff were. They seemed happy to be there and happy to have you there.
I can’t wait to return again. This is a great spot for lunch down town. It allows you to go for lunch, have lunch and get back to work in under an hour. All the while, the experience as a whole was truly great.
The food was good. Rice tasted fresh and cooked well. The chicken was not overcooked, I’d say a bit lighter than I’d like in terms of portioning but it was okay. I liked the side broth as well.
I also wish they included cutlery for me since I ordered this to my hotel and I didn’t have cutlery.
I got a mango bubble tea because the photo looked so cute and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t too sweet. Would definitely visit next time I’m in Regina again!
I was craving a Banh mi, lemongrass pork. The baguette was crispy and fresh. There was a lovely mix of garlic aioli, lemongrass, and a hint of heat from the jalapeños.
I would suggest to add the additional meat option for $2 to offset the bread ratio.
Overall, it was worth the $6.99, a total of $8.99 with a tip.
The front counter staff were very friendly.
