Very small portions. Smallest I’ve ever seen at a Thai restaurant. The atmosphere is fantastic. I love the old town location. The service was good.
I ordered the Red curry with chicken. I got a lot of dry hard chicken and VERY LITTLE curry. I couldn’t even finish the chicken it it was so bad.
The veggies were good- with exception of the baby carrots- they tasted like chlorine wash.
The red curry sauce was delicious, both spoonful. I asked for more curry sauce because there was SO LITTLE on my plate and they kindly brought me a little more. Curry was $15- seems like a lot for 2 spoonfuls of curry.

Flavors were fantastic, heat level was perfect, staff was very friendly, drunken noodles were wonderful, and they got out our food super fast but there were a couple issues. The calamari appetizer was small, and not super crispy, as seen in the photo. For 8 bucks its a little small. The only other issue was both our dishes included baby carrots that were pretty much completely raw. I would definitely still return, the flavors were on point in both the Drunken Noodles and the Chile and Basil.

Atmosphere and decor was really cool. Service was good. Food was fast and delicious. I really liked the red curry duck. Their Thai tea was also very good – a little on the sweet side but still tasty.

We travel all over the US for work and have eaten at hundreds of different Thai restaurants. The service was slow but the lady was nice. The food is expenses and the portions are way smaller than what we’re use to. In fact, the smallest we ever had. 6.50 for a half a cup of soup is too much! The inside looks nice and clean. The taste is about a C+ but overall this place is just way over priced for what you get.

Always have great service and their food has amazing flavor! Pictured here is the Firecracker sushi roll, chicken red curry and the pineapple fried rice. I’m used to my curry served in a bowl more as a soup but it was good this way too. Flavor was on point! I appreciated that the veggies were more al dente then soggy mush. The pineapple fried rice is an absolute must try! So many delicious flavors to it!!! I have previously tried the drunken noodle and their hot sauce, super amazing too! It is nice and clean in there with absolutely amazing service! I prefer to go for dine in vs take out because in previous times I felt the portions were larger for dine in. Not sure if that is still current or not but thought it was worth mentioning. Whenever I’m in there though, there are lots of take out orders still so maybe this had changed. This is a must try forsure! Top notch service and fresh flavorful food!

I was honestly a little skeptical of a Thai restaurant in Grand Forks, North Dakota, but they challenged and showed up all of my assumptions. The food was delicious and flavorful—and right on par with the quality of Thai food I have experienced in major cities across the country.

I am generally quite particular about Pad Khing (Ginger Chicken) when I order it. I was not disappointed here at all!

Don’t be fooled by this place’s unassuming exterior. Go in, sit down, order, and enjoy!!

OMG!!! Absolutely amazing if there were more than 5 stars I still give them 10! Thai Hot 3 is not only a must try, but a must try everything on the menu and look forward to the task. The heck with the construction going on downtown, park in the back and make your way up to demers for this hidden gem. They take Thai food to the highest level of perfection. I had the red curry (peppers and mango) duck at a medium spice, heavenly!

Great food, good atmosphere.
We ate there on Christmas day. The food was prepared fresh and served hot. Based on my experience I wold not hesitate to eat there again.

I would note that as with any restaurant the food can be prepared perfectly, but if you don’t like the recipe you aren’t going to like the food. In this case I did enjoy the recipe (I had the pineapple fried rice with shrimp) and It was delightful! It was served in a hollowed-out pineapple with a little umbrella – a nice touch. Presentation is part of the enjoyment of any meal.

So, on April 15, 2021, I tried to call to speak to a manager and it was still before they closed, but someone just picked up the phone and hung it up. Then when I tried again, I got an automated a cell phone voicemail. I was calling because I didn’t get my food. Instead, I called DoorDash, because that’s the service they use for delivery, and was refunded for my meal.
I don’t order from Thaihot 3 often, because they are very expensive. For a Seafood Salad and a 701 Roll, it’s $35.00. I then add a tip, so around $40.00 for 1 person.
There have been two times that I ordered my seafood salad not spicy (because that’s an option they give), but when my food was delivered, it was very spicy. The first time I called, they wanted me to drive to them to get my correct order. I don’t think that if you pay for delivery and your meal is incorrect, the customer should have to deliver the meal back. They should send someone to give the correct order, and the customer should give them back the wrong order. Again, this is paying for delivery. The first time, they sent a really nice girl/woman to my apartment to deliver the correct order and I gladly gave her the spicy order. I wish I could have tipped her, but I don’t keep cash on me ever, and I’m really sorry that I can’t remember her name, because she deserves to be recognized and I’m doing her a great disservice.
The second time I ordered my seafood salad, it was spicy, even though I clicked on not spicy. I called and the woman wanted me to bring it back. I told her I paid for delivery, so if she wanted me to take it back to them, she would need to return any fees and taxes I paid for the delivery. Then she started trying to refund me for the entire meal! I told her no because I didn’t have a problem with my 701 Roll and I ate it. That’s not right to refund me for something that can’t be returned. I think we were both just totally baffled. I don’t want a refund for anything but the item that was made incorrectly, and I definitely want to return it so they know I’m not lying. Overall, I think she refunded my husband’s card for the entire meal. So, I pretty much decided that when I do order from them (won’t be a habit as I’m not made of money), I will pick it up so I can make sure everything is okay before I leave.
I really enjoy the 701 roll because it has tobiko & masago on it (I order extra). The Seafood Salad (when made correctly) is amazing. I’ve never seen another sushi restaurant that makes it like that. Sakura’s kani is amazing too, so sometimes I’m conflicted about who to order from. I tried their Miso soup once, but it has a bit of spice that I feel destroys the taste. Sakura can take care of that for me.
My biggest con is the price for just 1 person. $15 for the Seafood Salad and $20.00 for the 701 Roll. I can kind of understand the price of the sushi roll, but still: wow!
The last time I ate from there, I ordered for pickup because I was already out with my cat.

I love the food, sonso we keep coming back, but have learned it’s best to get take out. The server can hardly handle 2 tables. We have yet to get silverware in the restaurant without standing up to get our own, the first time we went we decided maybe they just didn’t have napkins in the restaurant. The noodles are good, but ask for light onions or none because half of your dish will be onions. I’ve had some really awesome sushi here and have also noticed they aren’t afraid to give you bad cuts of meat, so order if you’re cool with questionable meat cuts. If you’re with others and some are ordering sushi while others order hot food, be prepared to eat at different times, the timing on food is so far off, we’ve experienced it and have seen other tables experience the same. The food is seriously worth most of these drawbacks and all other staff are pretty great, just the server who seems to be there everytime.
