Food was delicious and fresh. Service was exceptional, so attentive but not overbearing. Friendly and helpful. Delicious cocktails. Live music was an awesome plus (was our first time here so didn’t expect it). Can’t wait to come back in the warmer months but don’t sleep on it in the colder ones either!
Also, a nod to the very nice changing table in the women’s bathroom. I know my mom friends will appreciate that! Kudos to this establishment overall. 10/10.

As a local, I love spending October in the downtown spots and today I tucked in for lobster bisque and lobster mac & cheese. My daughter gave the crab cake meal a try. The rich, lobster laden soup warmed my belly and my taste buds! The lobster Mac is the best I’ve ever had. The creamy cheese was soo gooey good!! The price was right and I have enough for dinner tonight! Best meal of the month so far!!

After a great few hours discovering Point pleasant beach we decided to stop at Point Lobster for something to eat. At first there was no table available but we decided to wait and after 10 minutes a table was ready for us. Service was good and the food came out quickly. The Calamari rings were nice but the best part was my tuna.. omg it was delicious. Perfectly cooked and melting in my mouth. I loved it! I recommend this place.

When I was a kid my dad would take me blue fishing on the Queen Mary and we would sometimes grab a cup of clam chowder or a fish sandwich after our trip at Spike’s fish market- which is within walking distance from Point Lobster. Now I come here, because a friend turned me onto it – but you can’t go wrong at either place for fish and shellfish to eat in or take out, already prepared or fresh as anything. At Point Lobster obviously you want their Lobster Roll; they’re known for them. On a recent trip I got some raw clams and oysters on the halves, a cup of New England (I thought it was the bowl size – it was huge) and a salad with blackened swordfish. My buddy got the lobster roll and the fried scallops. I tasted one – it was heavenly. This place can get jam-packed depending when you go, so if you time it correctly toward an off hour, you’ll have no problem with parking. BYOB if you are eating it, they have a medium sized seating area that is always nice and clean and the service has always been very attentive and efficient. One of my favorite places.

Went in on a Saturday about 1 or 2 pm. Sat at the back bar. Nobody else there other than 2 bartender. Waited a bit until he acknowledged us and ordered our drinks and given menus. Read the menu and waited a long time to order. Bartender never looked our way as he was busy either cleaning glasses or more worried about putting up valentines decor. We both ordered lobster rolls. They were the worst I’ve ever had. Cold plain boring hot dog that felt like it was outside in the cold, Skimpy amount of lobster that was overcooked and bland. Certainly not worth the money at all. Very disappointed and will never return again.

Typical restaurant atmosphere. Service was fine. The food, that was another story. Not good. Bacon, lettuce, tomato and lobster was terrible, dry, too much bacon and little lobster. Like the lobster was an after thought. Fish and chips, fish was dry and fishy tasting. Tomato sauce and mussels served 2 small pieces of stale bread, not good. I talked my husband into trying this place. Won’t make that mistake again.

This is such a cool place, 3 mins away from the board walk. The atmosphere is great and the food is good.
Oysters: very fresh
Mussels with marinara: this can’t be wrong. Lots of mussels in the sauce, but the bread was soggy.
Seafood paella: tons of fresh seafood well balanced with some vegetables and rice.
One thing, so many servers are willing to take away our plates as if they want us to leave quickly even though it was not a peak time. One after another, and the other asked us if they could take plates within 5 mins.
