I went for a birthday gathering with 2 friends. I got the Mediterranean chicken kabob which was delicious. The birthday girl is mostly vegetarian and got the black bean falafel which she found to be yummy. And my other friend ordered a tasty dish which she had steak added to. The atmosphere was nice and the service was welcoming. The manager (i think her name was Danielle], went out of her way to make us all feel special and appreciated. It was our first time there at Flower Child, but it wont be our last!

Flower Child is my go-to restaurant in any city lucky enough to have one. It’s a healthy and super delicious alternative to other options available. The serving size is definitely more than I can eat and always have some to take home. Even reheated it tastes great. This location is very clean and the staff is wonderfully helpful, you can tell they actually like working here. I would recommend the Glow Bowl, it’s my favorite, adding any protein just makes it even better.

Great place for healthy food! Just what we wanted. Food was excellent! I have food allergies and they worked well with me. The steak was perfectly cooked, veggies were very tasty. My husband loved his dish. Atmosphere was light and nice. Everything was very clean. Will be coming back! Definitely recommend!

The food is always amazing and comes out super fresh. I really appreciate that the menu is labeled with vegan friendly options, and the variety of vegan options. my only complaint is, the seven times I’ve been there, every single time, the bathroom is disgusting.

as a woman, I thoroughly hate, gender neutral bathrooms, because you’re sharing it with men who pee all over the seat.

personally, I would prefer there be a woman’s and a men’s bathroom, and if a trans person wants to go into the women’s bathroom, no one cares what they do lol just don’t pee on the seat, please (because its a single stall, so it doesn’t really matter )

(btw: vegan = no dairy, no eggs, no meat, no butter, no animal products)

Ordered takeout! They were very busy so there was a slight wait but it was worth it! The inside is so cute and welcoming! Everyone was very kind and had a smile on their face!

The food was very delicious! Well portioned and seasoned just right! If you are someone who automatically adds salt to their food then this place may not be for you! It’s the perfect amount of salt and flavor to be healthy which for me is exactly what I’m going for! So don’t go here expecting it to be super powerful in flavor! It’s just enough to enjoy and still be delicious!

Carry out was smooth! They have dedicated parking spots and you call when you arrive! They will bring the food out to you!

My fav was the queso and the glazed sweet potatoes! Love that they have a patio and can’t wait to sit out and enjoy the vibes on a hot summer day!
My boyfriend liked the lemonade. He said that it wasn’t too sweet and you could tell it was made from scratch!

Try the Avocado Chicken Salad, It is delicious!!
The atmosphere is comfy and you are always welcomed with a smile when you come in. There is fruit water in the lobby if there is a wait. Don’t forget to try the healthier brownie for desert, it is made with real ingredients and taste fabulous! I will definitely return!

I’ve coming here for a few months. This place started really good, but my visits in the last month have been hit or miss. My last visit the broccoli was overcooked that it turn rock hard. Today, my mac and cheese is overly salted along with my salmon, but I was able take the top layer of the salmon. This place is not cheap to not be able to fully eat the food I paid for. I will be taking a break from this place.

Flower Child – “A Healthier Choice”
Location: 1340 E 86th

We showed up around 1 PM on a busy afternoon. None of us had been before, and first impressions were mixed.

Parking: It’s free, but a hassle. One way in and out, and if the lot is full, you’re stuck backing out—not ideal.

Set-up: You order at the front, grab your own drinks, and the food is brought to your table. Everything else? You’re on your own. Not a fan of the format—I prefer full service. No soft drinks either, just teas and other unusual options. Thankfully, cold water was available.

Food:
I went with the chicken entrée—it comes with two sides. I picked sweet corn and mashed potatoes. The corn was the best part of the dish. The plate looked bland, but surprisingly tasted good. The chicken portion was tiny and slightly pink, which didn’t sit well with me. I ate it cautiously—so far, so good.

One friend had the Ginger Miso Crunch Salad with salmon—she really liked it. My wife ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Meatball Bowl, which was solid but not a standout.

We sampled a few extras:
• Kung Pao Cauliflower – not good at all.
• Moroccan Sweet Potato Soup – bland and oddly similar to Campbell’s vegetable soup.
• Lemon Cake – unexpectedly great. One of the few highlights.

Overall:
The ladies liked it more than I did. For me, nothing stood out enough to come back. The concept is interesting, but the execution didn’t win me over.
