Our philosophy is to use the best ingredients available, and always in abundance. WE NEVER SKIMP! Handfuls of fresh nuts, creamy caramel, & rich dark chocolate are poured into individual batches as they are drawn from the machine. Absolutely delicious! That’s the best description that I can give this ice cream shop. I would’ve shared an actual picture of the 4-flavor sampler that I bought, but as you can see it didn’t last long enough for me to take one! If you’re in the Carmel area, take the time to stop and buy yourself a treat. You will thank me!!

Handel’s has been my favorite local ice-cream shop. The quality and quantity of the product served to the price being charged is totally worth it. Today, I tried the 4 scoop sampler with chocolate chunk, birthday cake, chocolate malt w caramel and their flavour of the month pineapple upside down cake.
Every bite of pineapple cake was sooo soooo soooo good that you could go back and order one more cup of its own☺️
Chocolate malt with caramel was surprisingly delicious for my liking.

Good flavor but depends on who serves you. My two scoops (1st pictured m) was half the size of a single (2nd picture) scoop from window next door. My daughters was smaller than the size on the spoon you eat and my husband’s paper was glued to his cone

I liked it, similar to Bruster’s ice cream. The scoops were generous…my picture is one scoop but it looks like two. The strawberry was creamy and tasted like real strawberry. I didn’t feel any ice crystals in the ice cream, which is good. The staff are all younger high school aged kids…some are extremely helpful and others act a bit more their age.
Overall, I’d go back to try other flavors. Prices aren’t bad for the amount of ice cream you get.

The BEST ever ice cream spot in Carmel. There is competition but Handel’s winning it hands down. They have rich flavors of chocolate like chocoholic chunks which will satisfy your chocolate cravings. Their portions are pretty good too. I’ve been a repeat customer for a couple of years now and will recommend to anyone looking for an ice cream

Handel’s has and is always my go to Best local ice-cream option. You can never go wrong with the price and flavors. The portions are huge! My favorite scoop is Chocolate Raspberry. I especially love the huge chunks of chocolate wrapped in raspberry surprising your taste buds every now and then. The seasonal flavors are great and I never am disappointed with the new flavors. Great place to hang out with family and friends in summer – open queue concept and lots of parking available at the Carmel location.

Came in at 9.05pm and their hours says open till 10pm. The workers ignored me and serve all others that were standing in line. The started putting thing away and didn’t tell anyone that they were closing early or anything. They just didn’t noted everyone. Usually great customer service and ice cream but the night crew this night was trash and didn’t care about the customers.

Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream is amazing! The strawberry flavor was incredibly fresh and tasted just like true homemade ice cream. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. Definitely one of the best ice cream spots around. I’ll be back to try more flavors!
