Great first time experience at The First Whistle. My Wife and I had a late Valentine’s Celebration. The Fish Whistle had a 3 course special for $39 which had amazing options. We started with the French onion soup, and the Fish Whistle Salad. Then, we had the Seafood pasta and the swordfish in a butter cream sauce. For the third course/ dessert we had the triple threat, and the warm brownie topped ice cream. I almost forgot we started with the crab dip as an appetizer and had 2 special drinks, which were both great as well. So, we will definitely be coming back here to try some other options they offer. Can’t wait for better weather to enjoy the outside atmosphere as well.

I attended a surprise birthday party at The Fish Whistle on Sunday September 7th. I didn’t have any appetizers, however the main course was great. Great selection, well seasoned. The location was perfect overlooking the water.

Several resent mediocre dinning experiences between AC, NJ and Wilmington left my wife and I jaded in our attempts at fine dining. We were both pleasantly surprised by the exceptional dinner & drinks. The food was piping hot. Ahi tuna was done to perfection. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend it. We will definitely be going back.

Awesome atmosphere, food, & staff! The Fish Whistle at The Granary is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Sassafras River. Their dining room is massive with many long tables for large parties. There’s also a bar with bar seating. The atmosphere is very romantic with low lighting and dark earthy wood tones. Perfect for dates, anniversaries, birthdays, and close adult-family dinners. Not really a place for kids, but 12 & up are ok. It’s more upscale but still casual at the same time. Great for a night out!

What a great restaurant! We all enjoyed our meals! Party of 6. Staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a variety of items: cream of crab soup, fish n chips, crab guacamole, bacon wrapped scallops and prime rib. Everything was fresh and hot…and delicious! Dessert was amazing, too…perfect creme brulee!
We highly recommend this restaurant when visiting the eastern shore of Maryland!

For those that want the abridged version: food was fantastic, views from the dining room were gorgeous, service was great.
Long version;
We brought a group of 25 people for dinner. Betty was so helpful. She worked with me to allow us to all eat in the dining room with beautiful views. She even checked on how things went the day after we were there, which was a pleasant surprise and showed that they really care about their customers. There was a storm at the time we went so there was power outages at other restaurants so people went here hoping they could fit them in. With that and being trivia night it was pretty busy.
Jeannie, the server for half of our group, was amazing. To handle all of us and still be able to refill beverages, I know for a restaurant is hard to find these days. Very friendly and personable.
The food was delicious. I had the catch of the day with lump crab. It was cooked just right. Steaks came out at the temperature requested, and the seafood pasta was plenty full with seafood.
We dined at 5:30 so after dinner we were able to enjoy the sun setting over the
Sassafras river.

Went to the Fish Whistle for my friends birthday. I was a little disappointed. We sat in bar area. The bartender was a little slow but she made a wonderful drink. We got the bacon wrapped jalapeno and bacon wrapped scallops. Both were wonderful. Then we ordered chicken and pasta also good. We lastly ordered dessert. I got the banana cake not good at all. It had next to no flavor and was dry. Over all it was good experience, glad we were not in a hurry.
