Try Pie was a phenomenal dessert vendor for my wedding. We ordered full size apple, mixed berry, rhubarb raspberry lavender, and chocolate silk pies and our guests loved them. The chocolate silk pies were especially a hit. They were also attentive to take almonds out of the crumble topping on the rhubarb raspberry lavender pies so my guests with nut allergies could enjoy. I would highly recommend them as a fun alternative to cake for anyone’s wedding.

Got the chance to try the Crumb Topping Triple Berry pie today. It was seriously the best pie I’ve ever eaten. The pie was similar to a fruit crisp, with the crumb topping, but had a bottom pie crust base. The fruit was bursting with flavor, and you could actually still identify the varieties of berries. The pie wasn’t overly sweet, and would pair nicely with vanilla bean ice cream.

When you walk in the door, the smell of pie slaps you in the face (in a good way). I almost switched my choice to apple pie and will be getting it next time. Yum! The mini pies are delicious! I tried the peach blackberry with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

My family loves Try Pie. They are about the only place in the Cedar Valley where we can get a treat that is accommodating towards those with a gluten sensitivity. Their staff has always been accommodating whenever we’ve needed to order a gluten free pie. While all their pies are delicious, our go-to is the raspberry.

At long last I was able to try Try Pie, when I discovered they were selling pies at an antique show I attended in the Amanas. It was an absolute delight — from the friendly gal who helped us to the delicious 6” pies we purchased. I might even make a special trip to Waterloo one day just to try some more!
