We had special reservations for a special dinner (Oct 25, 2025). The staff came out to greet us and told us what we would be eating for the evening. The food was amazing and the ambience of the live music being played, was fantastic. Because I am a disabled veteran, I needed special accommodations for me. I spoke to one of the managers, Keith, and the head waitress about my needs. Both of them, allowed me to pick out a table in which I would feel comfortable. They were absolutely kind and understanding with my disability.
It was an 8 course meal and all of the food was amazing!! The Chef brought in heritage recipes from his family which like me, is Appalachian heritage! It was all AMAZING! I do hope the food I had, will be on the menu when they open back up. Keith did tell our group, Mountain Creek will be remodeled for next season!!
The newly installed tram is also awesome! Smooth ride and spacious! It does stop for a few minutes to allow guests in the pods in front to get off.
**The menu I posted was only for
Oct 25,2025**

You will love this restaurant, hook, line and sinker! Fine dining at its best with a stunning view. Kudos to Lilly the chef for gustatory delights and to the entire staff for great food handling and customer service!

Food is good and you enjoy nice view of the river, free ride for purchase over $10.
Options are very limited and service is slow, not sure why they have Fine Dining in the title. It’s a casual place.

Great view, good trout, great mahi mahi! A little slow on service, but we had a nice waitress.

Delicious! We had the trout dip for an appetizer- outstanding! I had the crab stuffed trout, which was one of the best trout meals I’ve ever had. My friend had a salad with a generous portion of well cooked and flavorful brisket. Cocktails were tasty and very affordable. The view was lovely, with the babbling river and fishermen to watch as we dined. I would eat here again without hesitation – and I’m not a big fan of tram rides!

So disappointed. Use to be one of our favorites when staying at Pipestem . The only good thing was the drinks and we needed them. The bartender was great. Once seated we had to ask for a waitress who was overwhelmed. The onion soup was puréed -tasted good but not what we expected. And the prime rib was very poorly cooked. The park system has made this fine dining experience into a poor dining experience. The tram ride down is great and the creek view is very nice. Hopefully the dining experience will be re evaluated soon Hopefully they will change it for next year.

Take a trip on the tram to get to this restaurant. It’s gonna cost you, but it is a wonderful event. The food is nicely prepared to a standard you would expect in a high end restaurant, but most people were in jeans or shorts. Great views out large windows. Tram fair is comped if you spend at least $10 (that is anything on the menu). After dinner, you can check out the kid’s playground if you have kids and enjoy the river and deer.

We had a wonderful visit with family. The food was good. The service was beyond poor. We sat for thirty minutes before even getting water. Also, it took for ever to take our orders, wine to be served, and dessert was never even offered. Three hours for dinner isn’t bad for many courses… But we had one. I do thank you for a beautiful place where our family could gather.

The tram ride down and back makes it all worthwhile. Food was good, not great, but you are paying for the great view. It was a shame the huge picture windows looked like they had not been cleaned in a year. Our server, Will, was fantastic.
