It was such a pleasure to discover MJ’s in Creede. Not sure how we have missed it all the previous trips. It is a local family owned jut good food restaurant. Grandma cooking in the back, hearty portions, and friendly service. The picture I included is a breakfast dish. It is not a fancy restaurant, but it is good food.

We stopped in for a snack and got fries. They were delicious. Everything is made in house. We will be back for breakfast and lunch.
Three generations of women run the restaurant and they are all hard workers and very friendly.

We came back for breakfast and had biscuits and gravy; chicken fried steak with hash brown’s. Again we really enjoyed our food and the service!!

We love MJs! Everytime we are in town we have to go there and eat breakfast or lunch! Everyone is very friendly and make you feel at home! They have great burgers and BLTs for lunch. I highly recommend this place!

We chanced this eating establishment after reading the previous review. We were seated immediately and drinks a few minutes later. We did wait about 30 minutes for our food but we were in no hurry. Glad we stayed and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with great customer service. Tables were cleaned quickly. They do have outside seating available. I had “The Old Fashioned” Breakfast and hubby the “Fried Pork Chop” Breakfast. Everything was very good. My husband’s milk was not cold, but it was fine for him. We will definitely return in the future!

About 35 to 40 minutes to get breakfast, not due to being too busy but the staff were all extremely inefficient, even standing around. The place wasn’t that clean but it had a good atmosphere and good food.

We arrived at 12:20. We just left at 2:00. Noted maybe 3 ladies working. 1 grill, 1 serving, 1 at register. So no one to really bus tables as the server was helping plate food, taking orders, refilling drinks and delivering food. Understandably many tables were dirty. The food was VERY good. We had chicken strips and hamburgers. The server kept a very nice attitude and did her best. But have to leave an honest review.

I’d like to review the food, but after waiting an hour in a mostly empty restaurant, we left. We had ordered two breakfast burritos, should be simple and quick, right? Obviously not. The wait staff do not care about the customer, and seemed irritated that we asked, after an hour wait, when our order was coming up.

I go to creede in spring and fall that’s my place to go breakfast is like at home cooking. Friendly waitress and cook layed back atmosphere with historic pictures on the wall I’m from ky. Look forward to going back and camp on the creek and riding.

Horrible service. We waited for 1 hour and a half for food. Asked for who was in charge . Jesse came out from kitchen, asked why we’ve not been served? Told her we had a 2 year old hungry. She said no one asked you to come here… son approached young waitress with the same complaint she flipped him off. Jesse did nothing.
Came to visit and celebrate the 4 of July with our Veteran. I will be making people aware of how disrespectful Jesse and her staff were. Creede will not get our money ever!!
