The Miners Grubstake is the true definition of a hidden gem. Nestled in the small town of Atlantic City it definitely encompasses the small town atmosphere. Great service and absolutely amazing food. The prices are amazing as well and honestly better than most restaurants in Lander. The pizza is all made from scratch and is top tier. Burgers are absolutely amazing as well with some of the best fries I’ve ever had. This place has now become a destination to us. Stop by grab a bite on your way to go see South Pass historical City or just make it a destination for a weekend lunch date. This place doesn’t disappoint.

Great old mining town bar and grill decor and atmosphere make this food and beverage location VERY unique. We stopped in when there was 6 inches of snow outside and blowing snow. Very warm and comfortable setting. Learn about the history of the gold mining town while eating a great hot meal. Great friendly locals and restaurant owner. Great food no matter what you order.

Awesome venue a couple miles off the highway, tucked away in a beautiful canyon. The food is top notch, the atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are attentive and friendly. I will be back and would strongly recommend for any travelers looking for a unique experience.

Simply amazing. Atmosphere, food, drinks, and service are all you need in this western mining town. Like something straight out of a spaghetti western

We had an amazing lunch!! The place doesn’t look like much from the outside – I even thought they were closed, but thankfully they weren’t. Our food came out quickly and we loved everything we got. My husband enjoyed his Reuben (it was huge!), my son enjoyed his chicken nuggets with a side of ranch, and I really liked my fish and chips! So delicious!!

Our group of 5 stopped in to get some dinner. Time was 6:20 and the restaurant closes at 7:00. The owner immediately told us that we couldn’t sit in the dining room because he was (expletive) tired of walking. He the asked us what we wanted and when we replied that we were looking to get some food he told us that “there’s no (expletive) food we’re closing that down.” He was beyond rude. If I could rate as a negative I certainly would. Do yourself a favor and drive into Lander instead.

My parents were visiting from Utah and we made the trip to South Pass/Atlantic City. We went to have lunch and were greeted very rudely after opening the door by the woman who runs the joint with: “we aren’t cooking right now “. No sign in the window. Plenty of bar patrons.
I guess you would expect a little bit of hospitality in such a small area. Ended up at the mercantile next door. Better food. Better service. Half the price.
