A Saturday lunch called for some takeout sandwiches and this place didn’t dissapoint. We ordered 4 sammies, hot/cold split evenly, and I made sure to try every one.

The Hoboken – loaded with fresh roast beef and mozzarella was the highlight for this sandwich but it was missing something so I ended up adding some garlic and deli dressing. If a bland but filling sandwich is your jam then this is for you.

The Mediterranean was burdting with flavor, grilled veggies and melted mozzarella hit the spot. If you want to skip the meat then this is for you.

The Sinatra was filled with great tasting sopresata, mortally, and salami. A light kick matched well with the fresh mozzarella.

The Dean Martin was probably the favorite as the chicken cutlet soaked in vodka sauce had a great flavor profile.

I have heard good things about the meatball sub which will be my next selection!

Sandwiches were very filling, solid portion for the price

Ordered a few sandwiches to go and was disappointed. They do not put lettuce or tomato on the sandwich at all. It was just bread with meat and cheese. Also ordered a sandwich that said burrata was on there but looks more like a spread? Sandwiches seemed better when they first opened.

Staff is always friendly! Food is always fresh and delicious! I had the cheese steak for the 1st time today it was very good!! Its huge could only eat 1/2 . I usually get the Italian but wanted something hot today. I’m glad I did too! My son loves the meatball parm! All the sweets have been delicious too! I highly recommend Nonna’s! ❤️

Order through Door Dash since I saw a 30-40min wait. Sandwich didn’t look like the others posted or what I saw in Lowcountry eat out. Maybe due to inflation but the price needs to be adjusted if this is how it will be. Bread should be switched to something softer. Glad I finally got to try it. Would also be nice to order 1/2 of a Sandwich.

Have been here three. First time got the Italian and the second time the vodka chicken parm and eggplant parm. The wait time for 2 hot sandwiches was 45 minutes. After I received them they were cold, the vodka sauce is also very bland. If you are going here. I’d recommend a cold sub. But the wait times here are absolutely outrageous.

Please go back to your old bread for sandwiches. The new ‘artisan’ style is not it, and dries out the sandwich. The Broccoli Rabe I had the other week was the same and I thought it was just a 1 time thing.

Otherwise fantastic food.

If a sandwich that weights about 2 pounds is what you are looking for, then this is the place for you. Seriously, I ordered “the america” for $15 and the layer of meat on the foot long sub was about 2 inches thick. This sandwich covered 3 meals for me.
The staff were friendly and pleasant. This is just a “to go” location. No seating in the shop. And no public bathrooms. Overall good experience. Would visit again.

Not sure what happened in the last couple of months, but this place used to be absolutely premiere. I would come here all the time. the sandwiches were thick, The cannolis were great and now it seems like all of that is gone. The bread is different. They don’t load the sandwiches up anymore. They changed the cannolis in the worst part. Is you still pay the same price? I would love to see this place go back to the amazing Italian sandwich spot it was.

Stopped in after a local 5k to grab a porkroll, egg, cheese and when they said salt, pepper, ketchup in the next breath,I knew this place legit. We are originally from NJ (here 19y)and loved talking to the owner, checking out the salads, cold cuts, baked goods, family pics on the walls, etc.Sandwiches were on point. Will definitely order ahead next time to try subs.Hope this place does well and stays busy.

We love supporting local, family owned businesses and hope Nonna’s continues to succeed. However, our latest visit was very disappointing. The wait time has always been long (30-40 minutes for cold or hot sandwiches). This time was no exception. We waited 35 minutes for 4 cold sandwiches. There is no place to sit and wait. The ladies behind the counter were very friendly and set proper wait time expectations. We specifically asked for no condiments or lettuce, tomatoes etc. on our sandwiches. Two sandwiches had oil, vinegar, lettuce, tomatoes and pepper added. The biggest issue is the quality of the sandwich. When Nonna’s first opened the sandwiches were on semolina bread and the meat and cheese portions were huge, just like you get in NJ. Now the sandwiches are served on a regular roll and the meat/cheese portions are a quarter of what they used to be. The fresh mozzarella portion was so small and thin that it looked like a piece of turkey cold cut. The food is still tasty, it’s really about the portion size. We hope they decide to go back to how things were when Nonna’s first opened. For now, we are in no hurry to return.
