Love, love, love Chuck’s Little Diner! Make Prairie City a destination for this charming, friendly spot! Valeria and Chuck were sooo friendly on this cold, rainy Memorial Day weekend, when we drifted in after a snowy night camped in the Strawberries! They welcomed us with hot coffee and an amazing breakfast of the fluffiest pancakes, eggs & crispy bacon. Can’t wait to come back for the homemade biscuits!

Vegetarian friends, I’m here to tell you that the Grilled Greenhouse is an answer to prayer. It’s got grilled onions, peppers, shrooms, tomatoes, etc etc. along with cheese and then the whole sandwich is grilled. Got mine with onion rings plus a salad.

Stopped here early in the morning to fuel up for Strawberry Mountain. The food was quick, affordable, and tasty! The service was top-notch. Sweet little diner off the hwy, lots of locals, friendly people. It’s an experience and I can’t wait to return! Thank you ☺️

Had lunch here while on a camping trip in the area, and it was absolutely worth it! The Prairie City Beefer is a must. Best sandwich I had in my life. We sat out on the porch among the beautiful summer flowers and we even met a hummingbird. Very friendly place with excellent, affordable food. And it’s open on Sundays! Don’t miss it if you’re in the area.

We ran out of fuel for breakfast our last morning while camping. Decided to try out the local diner. Man am I glad we did! They were bustling and still it was a great experience. The portions were generous and the food was wonderfully prepared! Chicken fried steak was awesome. Thanks.
