Tried John & Maria’s Pizzeria recently — the Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious! Perfect crust with char, great flavored sauce, and super fresh ingredients.

We also got a veggie pizza, but unfortunately, it had a really bitter taste from the crust, almost like something burnt had stuck to it. My guess is maybe some food debris from the oven got onto it. We couldn’t really eat that one, but I think it was just a one-time mistake — things like that happen sometimes.

Overall, the Margherita was so good that I’m still giving 5 stars and will definitely try them again. Love supporting great local spots like this!

Well folks, let me tell ya, John and Maria’s pie came out just about exactly as Dave Portnoy called it—and I’ll second that score right here. One bite, you know the rules, and the number’s spot on.

The cheese pie had that classic, no-nonsense New England thin crust—little char on the edge, sauce tucked under a healthy melt of cheese, not too greasy, not too fancy. Half pepperoni brought a bit of bite, cups curled up just enough to trap a little oil for flavor. Nothing over the top, but everything balanced, cooked right through, and consistent.

It’s the kind of pizza you respect because it doesn’t try too hard. They know what they’re doing, they’ve been at it, and it lands right in that honest, dependable neighborhood spot zone.

My score? Same as Portnoy’s—dead on the money.

Really good pizza. The only negative was that we felt rushed and uncomfortable as our server was clearly in a rush and asked us to close out our check as her shift was ending. After we closed out, no one came by to see if we needed anything (coffee, dessert, etc). Came here on a Saturday night.

Have driven past John and Maria’s for a long time. So glad we decided to stop by. Fabulous food!
The fried mozzarella was awesome and the cheesy garlic bread was sooooo good! We tried the pizza- Maria’s favorite was so good! Loved the cheese pizza as well. Bacon and onion- excellent!
The tiramisu was fantastic- enjoyed it very much.

Highly recommend! We will be going back again and again! 🙂

Words can barely express how delicious the food is here, but I’ll try. Staff and owners are super nice, like a small family. They have the BEST FOOD, it’s all made by hand, they make their own sausage, anything with the sausage in it is amazing. Best stuffed mushrooms I have ever had hands down, best pizza, everything I have ever ordered has been super delicious. It’s owned by a brother and sister, John and Maria, the first time I came in, they walked me through the hole menu, and when they handed me my food, I got it to go, they said, “ this is a meal made with love” and you can tell. I will absolutely be coming back here if I’m ever back in town. I was in town building a local dispensary, here for about 2 months and ate here about 3-4 times a week for dinner, couldn’t get enuff! Well done John And Maria! I travel all over America for work, and you have been one of the top places I have ever been too!

Being an EH native I got pizza sauce in my blood even with the lack of italian genes. This place makes the best pizza in the state always highly recommend
(Not for drinks. No clus who is making them but he cannot make a margarita all you taste is bitter tequila)

My Dad requested we all get together here after his funeral and so that we did. This was only my second time here as I live out of town but both the food and the service are top notch. Owners are the nicest people you could meet. I have got to get back here for the pizza which I know my Dad loved.
