I’ve been kind to Caliente (Allison Park). Used to be a great pie. I am sorry to say, I cannot chalk this up to a bad night anymore. They have regressed below the mean. 9 cut (pan) Godzilla (supreme). Dough was soggy, crust was ultra chewy. Sauce has now become sweet with minimal flavor. Served lukewarm. I’ve supported in the past and I’ve thought the hate was not warranted. Unfortunately, I won’t be back until they maybe figure things out. Maybe less expansion and more attention to quality is warranted.

Used to have great pizza, lots of options, high quality service. Felt like they started to go down hill 2 years ago, the dough brothers opened and now I’d rather eat anywhere else. They send me coupons, I try their pizza again. Realize it’s over priced over sauced trash. Will avoid it going forward.

Hi, unfortunately, this restaurant has gone completely downhill! I probably eat here once a week. I used to eat here twice a week, but Recently, anything I get from there is disgusting.
Today I ordered Bone in wings with Mardi Gras sauce and I asked for them to be extra crispy. They are far from that they are impossible to eat. They’re big wet and rubbery. And I also asked for Buffalo ranch fries with a ranch Dressing on the side And I ended up getting plain fries with a side of Buffalo dry rub and two ranches they were in the box with the fries and the lids melted, and the ranch poured completely out. And mind you, the dry rub was not even powder it was formed in balls. Ridiculous. It’s really pushing me to not come back here. I stopped coming here for almost a year because of how nasty the food was, but then something brought me to come back and try it again – Hoping that it’ll get better For them. It seems to be that during the day it’s worse and in the evening the food is a little better. But that’s not a promise .

The ghost pepper wings are like some kind of religious experience. You will go to a different would. Wow.

Tried this place for the first time tonight after hearing so much good stuff about it; it did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the staff very friendly, and the atmosphere inside was pretty good (even if it is a little small inside).

I managed to eat five of the “cry to mommy” (ghost pepper) wings without drinking anything, but the heat eventually overwhelmed me. It completely wiped my brain. I can’t even remember what I was worried about when I walked in the door.

I also ate ten of the garlic parm. They were very good, but not the best wings I’ve ever had. I wish they were a tad bit crunchier. It just seemed like the outside was more gummy than I prefer. If they were a little crunchier, they could easily be in my top 3.

Once I finally stopped sweating from the ghost pepper, I ate a small four cut pizza with green peppers and bacon. The pizza was incredible. The crust was perfectly crunchy but also super gooey. The cheese was so fresh and melted perfectly. I dunno what they are doing but their pizza is some of the best I’ve ever had.

Overall, this place was a huge win. If you haven’t been there yet, I dunno what you are waiting for?!

We decided to try dine-in at Caliente tonight. We have had awful experiences ordering pizza for take out in the past, waiting upwards of an hour after the pick up time. Tonight was just as painful. We ordered 2 pizzas… 45 minutes later we received a barely warm cheese pizza that we saw waiting at the window for almost 10 minutes before it was brought to us. 20 minutes later we left, never getting our second pizza. It was another extremely disappointing outing and we won’t be going back. We can find over priced pizza somewhere else.

Cool place! We had the pizza and we loved it. The crust was thin and crispy which is how we like it. The service was ok, but it was extremely busy so that was to be expected. Overall was a great experience for us.

First time ordering from this excellent restaurant. Just decided to grab a quick snack after work. Decided on the pepperoni cheese bread…DELICIOUS! 10 minute wait to satisfy my taste buds! Thank you everyone at CALIENTE PIZZA AND DRAFT HOUSE! The marinara was excellent, the dough was delicious and of course the cheese was outta this ! Can’t wait to come back!

Ordered the Brooklyn pizza which costs $29 before tax. Arrived 12 minutes early for pickup and the pizza was already sitting there. After a 6 minute ride home I noticed there was pizza sauce all over the bottom of the box which got on my car seats (picture is from after I had already wiped it off). I opened the box to a mess, half of the pizza was completely stuck to the bottom of the box and there was already a large tear in one piece of the pizza. Turned into a giant cold pile of pizza mush just trying to peel it out of the box making half of the pizza inedible. Pretty disappointed to say the least considering how expensive the pizza was.

This was my first visit to a Caliente! I decided to go after seeing the ‘Made In PGH Pizza Passport’, but decided to do my own little tour at my pace. Caliente seemed to be included on many local lists and they had a convenient location nearby, so I gave it a shot.
While studying at the library I preordered a small pizza with half pepperoni and half sausage.

Despite listing a roughly 45 minute wait, the pizza was ready when I arrived early, perhaps because it was a Monday around 8 and not busy. I was immediately helped and on my way after entering through the side door dedicated strictly to pickup orders. This was a smart feature since you don’t have to get mixed up in line with others trying to order at the counter or grab a table like at my restaurants, plus they have coolers for last minute drink purchases.

The pizza was hot and tasted great, with light airy crust. Plenty of toppings including crispy edged pepperoni. It was denser than a lot of local pizzas, but not quite as heavy as some like Pizza Hut. Pretty good overall.

Definitely my favorite of the locations. I think this place does the crust just right. Love a margarita pizza, maybe sometimes it’s a little skinny on the mozzarella, but overall very good.
