We ate at Playmakers Sports Bar and Grill twice in the same week—that’s how good the food was. Everything we ordered was solid. Burgers were seasoned right and juicy, the garlic parmesan chips were a hit, and even the side of bacon for our dog (yes, we got a side of bacon off the dog menu) was cooked perfectly.
On our second visit we brought our dog and sat outside. They have an actual menu for dogs, and she got to enjoy that bacon you see in the photos.
The portions are big, the flavor is on point, and the prices are fair for what you get. Great spot to chill, eat, and enjoy the view if you’re outside. Definitely going back.

Our Car Club Xclusive Mopar have been looking for a spot to meet up, chill, and eat some good food. We decided to try out Playmakers Bar and Grill in Ridgefield. Wow! Not only was the food was phenomenal, but their service was on point! Our server David and his team were amazing, top notch service and always checking up on us. Very fun environment and place to social, watch the games on tv etc. Looks like our club finally found a local spot that we can continue to come back. A+++

Omg had to check this place out and it was definitely worth a try, I got the lime cilantro bowl and added chicken it was so tender and juicy. High quality food and ingredients highly recommend definitely will be back! My husband got a burger and it was flavorful. Employees are nice. The other thing is the wait to get the food was very long but we came on a Friday night and it was very busy.

My husband and I came here for a date and to celebrate his birthday. We came around 7:00 midday it was packed and loud . I wish I knew the name of the two guys that help me out today working at the bar because they were both fantastic. They were running around non-stop making sure that everyone was taken care of. They did a good job of two manning it behind that bar. Tonight I tried both the strawberry lemonade and the Raspberry Lemonade. The strawberry was sort of sweet it was ok but not something I would order again. I do like the Raspberry Lemonade it was good . My husband and I split the Dark Chocolate Lava Cake. We doth enjoyed it. My husband had the Long Island. He said he couldn’t even taste the alcohol. I ordered a Smash Burger I liked the egg and pickles along with the sauce the used on it.

Our experience at Playmakers was ok. They have plenty of screens to watch several different games. The atmosphere is a quaint sports bar feel. The beer choices were good and the Black and Blue burger was spot on. The service was the confusing part. The gentleman that served us was nice but seemed disinterested. When we were finished with our food, he brought us our bill. Cut and dry as far as the charges go but when I gave him our card and he brought back the receipt to sign, there was a surcharge added. No explanation for the extra charge. This caused me to adjust my tip accordingly. What would have been over a 20% tip decreased to around a 15% to make up for this ridiculous extra charge.
A note to Playmakers:
Your employees are suffering because of your ridiculous surcharge. That doesn’t seem fair to them but the customer shouldn’t have to suffer because of an unwarranted and unexplained charge!

Had the teenager with us so went in the family friendly side. After waiting 5 min or so and nobody noticed us, decided to go find someone in the bar so we could be seated. Food was great and the service was good too. There were lots of tvs that had the football games on.

Took two bell rings before we were seated at a dirty booth. Luckily the menus are stiff which allowed me to scrape all the crumbs that were on the table and seat under the table. Initial wait for drinks and food was not too bad. Kids pizza was hot, my prime rib dip was warm, cheese a bit rubbery. My au jus took an additional 5 minutes or so to come out. Was also “warm”. Kid’s drink refill took over 5 minutes. My drink refill never came. Server took my glass for a refill and never came back. Went to the front and rang the bell twice again in attempt to find a human to try to get a drink and the check. No joy. Walked back to the bar and had the bartender close me out. Told her the situation, she apologized and offered me my MIA tea. She closed me out. Will be hard to come back. No communication on if were understaffed etc

I’m tapping out. I used to come here every Wednesday night over the past year for their wing night. I can’t anymore. This place nickels and dimes like their life depends on it. I could tolerate it when it came out to $40 / visit but now its up to $50 / visit. And this is on their “discount wing” night. lol.
Here’s how 6 reaper wings, 6 honey wings, and a soft pretzel (shown in a pic I took last year) turns into 50 USD:
-Bone-in wings now cost $9 instead of $6
-You *must* buy a drink to unlock wing special
-Charge you extra for using a credit card
-Charge you for ranch / blue cheese dressing
-Charge you extra for reaper sauce
-Tax + tip
On top of that, the last time I went, some of the wings were oddly small and low quality, and the soft pretzel dip was coagulated. The whole meal felt like it had been sitting around all day, and then reheated. Unfortunate bc that wing combo + the pretzel used to be a slam-dunk, IMO.
Quality-wise, maybe they were having a bad night, but the cost has pushed me over the edge. I know this is Ridgefield, but make it make sense, guys. This shouldn’t cost 50 USD. I’ll stick with BWWs, which is further away, but you can get almost 2x food for half the cost with their specials.
I’ll still give them three stars bc their managers were cool and never rushed me out. Tall guy with glasses especially.

Came in later on a Monday during a football game. Bar was packed. Multiple tables and a full bar. Bre the bartender was running her butt off and tending to every single person. She’s phenomenal and one of the reason I keep coming back here. Amazing bartender and person. Great asset to the company.

We ordered 1 Beer, 1 Margarita an ice Tea and a Pretzel. Took 20 minutes to get the drinks, after waiting 15 mins to place the order.
unfortunately, we never got the Pretzel. After finishing our drinks we just asked the server to give someone the pretzel, paid our bill (including the pretzel) and we left.
We stopped by hoping to get a few drinks before going to the concert, but oh well I guess not.
Also, theere were fruit flies everywhere. Kinda gross.
Our server was doing the best she could. We appreciated that. There’s not much she could do.
Highly unlikely to return anytime soon.
