Life is Beautiful
Spent a quiet afternoon overlooking the pool at Parasol at the Vinoy. The perfect breeze set the tone for a lovely afternoon on the patio. The Red Sangria’s were delicious and honestly could have ordered a pitcher!! But the delight was in the food! Tuna Tostadas, carne Asada tacos, and a burger topped with manchego cheese and bacon were all beautifully served along side sides of sweet potato fries and black beans and rice. A definite stop for a mid-day lunch outing while shopping in St Pete or strolling in the park. We finished it off with pastries downstairs, but we didn’t get those photos. The dessert captivated us and we were a tad distracted. ❤️

TIP: The Mexican Street Corn side is a MUST! Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with excellent food and drinks at Parasol. The chicken wrap, blackened shrimp, and carne asada tacos and the street corn were excellent. Drinks were very good to. All the staff were friendly and they did not mind that we lingered for quite a long time through the afternoon.

Beautiful location overlooking the pool deck & Vinoy Marina. Come for this. Nice chill daytime atmosphere for lunch. Good background music. Nice service. Food is about as expected for an upscale hotel. The Cubano sandwich was very good, as well as the Queso Blanco Bacon burger. (The real star is the Mexican Street Corn side…whoa!! So tasty.) Overall the Vinoy is a great destination on its own and this outdoor spot is worth the visit.

Went Christmas Day both Kevin and Joseph were excellent! I had the banana bread old fashioned and a burger. Both were excellent! My friend got the Cuban and two frozen drinks which she loved! Highly recommend for great vibes and food by the pool.

I recently dined at the Parasol restaurant inside the Vinoy Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL with 3 friends and it turned into an unexpectedly delightful experience. While my meal was great 2 friends dishes were cold and hamburger was undercooked. Our server, Brett, was fantastic about it. He promptly took it back and even brought the manager over to address the situation. To our surprise, the manager not only fixed the issue, but went above and beyond by comping the entire meal for all four of us- plus they treated us to dessert! It is rare to see such exceptional customer service, and it turned a small hiccup into a memorable afternoon. The atmosphere was lovely and Brett and the manager made us feel truly valued. I’d highly recommend the Parasol to anyone looking for nice place for lunch.

$24.00 for a somewhat small portion of warm, wilted lettuce… This was the Kale and Baby Gem Caesar salad.

This in itself is a nice spot, but it’s so very pricy! Before coming I asked how much a typical meal is and they said about $50. I got 3 drinks, an appetizer, and 2 entrees and the total was around $170. And there was this weird charge on my tab after taxes listed as “other”. When I asked about the charge they said that’s just Marriott’s policy. Add in the $24 valet and you shouldn’t be considering this place if you don’t have around $250 to waste.

We are locals and had high hopes for Parasol. The good views was were the positives stopped. Took 15 minutes to be acknowledged, another 10 for a server and then paid $22 for a Expresso martini for my wife that we had to send back because it wasn’t made properly. How do you screw up an expresso martini. Plus 18% auto gratuity? We will never return.

We had a great time and all thought the service and food were awesome at Parasol!

Besides the expected good service, the food was overpriced for the quality. Avoid the burger.
