During my visit to town, I’ve made it a mission to try a different restaurant each night, and I have to say, this place truly stands out. I was blown away by how delicious the food was and how friendly the service felt. The shrimp wontons and steak sandwich were absolutely to die for. Excellent service. Food was served hot and fresh. Fresh salad. Hamburger buns are locally made from MT grain. Locally sourced beef.

Coming back to Montana after a long, family visit in California…it was nice to experience the hometown feel of the Blacktail Steakhouse. The prime rib was fantastic, the service was even better than fantastic and the atmosphere was perfect! It was nice to listen to the other customers chat about their horses and observe the old Montana feel that I’ve craved for several months. I’m 63 and 5th generation Montanan and this place always makes me feel at home. The young gal that served us was very kind and cheerful and the wife and myself left the place grinning.

Just passing through Dillon and this place was just what we needed after being on the road over 4 hours. Great bartender (thank you Sydney!) Split a NY strip with sides and pickle fries. Good local beer and strong drinks.

The prime rib was exceptional. My wife ordered the New York, it was amazing. She doesn’t usually like meat, but she devoured her streak. Will definitely be back, 10/10. Cheesecake was also scrumptious.

The restaurant is somewhat old but the food and service compensated. The decor has probably never been updated but we were ok with that. Kyia was stellar and treated us like royalty! We both had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection. Mushrooms were heavenly. Baked potatoes were truly loaded down with the good stuff. Drinks spot on. Thanks for the wonderful meal!!!

Food was absolutely fabulous!❤ Service was absolutely stupendous! Trudy has perfect timing in asking about our needs and very friendly! Jacqueline(?), the bartender, makes a mean virgin strawberry daiquiri. The flavor was wonderful, which sometimes is hard to do without the alcohol. All food was melt in your mouth good! So definitely going back!❤❤
