MACS is the kind of place that makes you forget all about moderation—and honestly, that’s a compliment. They were running a special for a regular mac n cheese plus a half sandwich or salad for around $12, and at that point saying no would’ve been irresponsible. We fully leaned in.
We ordered like we were feeding a small team: buffalo chicken sandwich with Philly cheesesteak mac, chipotle chicken sandwich with cheeseburger mac, straight-up cheeseburger mac, and the Popeye mac with a salad. Every single dish showed up hot, cheesy, and ready to ruin any plans we had of eating light for the rest of the day.
The mac n cheese was exactly what you want—rich, creamy, and unapologetically cheesy. The toppings took it to another level and made each dish feel like its own personality. The only minor knock is the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was a little on the salty side thanks to the blue cheese and chicken combo. That said, I still ate the whole thing because I’m not a quitter .
We come to Wisconsin Dells every year for my son’s basketball tournament, and Macs is a guaranteed stop every single time. No debates. No alternatives. That kind of consistency earns five stars all by itself. If comfort food had a home court, this would be it.

As a vegetarian, going to Mac’s near Avid Hotel in Wisconsin Dells was a happy surprise it’s just next to my hotel, double bonus.
Not many veggie options around here, so I walked in with low expectations… and walked out full and smiling.
I tried Veggie Mac #13 and honestly, it was really good! Fresh veggies, nice flavors, and not boring at all (which is rare for veggie food sometimes ).
Portion size is good, price is fair, and service was quick — perfect when you’re hungry and don’t want drama.
If you’re a vegetarian in Wisconsin Dells, Mac’s is a safe place. Veggie Mac #13 gets a big thumbs up

Memphis Mac was super tasty!! definitely a good choice. Cheddar bacon ranch was great too just a bit more mild in flavor. But the Mac was well done, cheesy, and warm ❤️ visiting here from oklahoma and glad we stopped by to check it out!

Stopped by on a Friday, it was quite busy. It is located by Kalahari resort. Macs has delicious mac&cheese with many different options. We had the Memphis mac&cheese which is with BBQ pulled pork and the Loaded Baked potatoe which is with, you guessed it, baked potatoes, sour creme, bacon and chives. Both were delicious and creamy but completely different. They have small, regular and big daddy (large). Although busy, the food was made quickly, the staff is very nice and the restaurant is clean with a cool atmosphere. If you are in the area I’d recommend stopping by at least once!

1st let me hurry up and review this, because I told the guy I would I waited til I got back to Detroit to eat, but the guy recommended this its the Memphis and when I say it is delicious we also got the BBQ and it was also slapping I added bacon and also ate with sour cream I mean delicious the 1st thing I did was see if there was a location near me because I def have to have this again and it is a large serving definitely will need to eat in 2 or 3 sittings

The food was great, but the service is not up to par. My friend asked Anna for “Memphis with the gluten free mac” and so she replied “do you want it with the onions?” And my friend said “yes”. My friend starts eating the mac and asked again “is this gluten free?” Anna’s like “no” so the onions weren’t gluten free but that wasn’t mentioned until asked. How do you not think about food safety with dietary restrictions and allergies? Anna never even apologized for my friend with celiac for making her sick. ): Inconsiderate service which was disappointing for such great food.

This is a wonderful restaurant! We come here relatively often and it is one of our favorites in the Wisconsin Dells area. The food is delicious and is the price you would expect. The service here has always been amazing. We highly recommend Mac’s if you have the chance!

We tried the Buffalo Chicken Mac, Memphis Mac (pulled pork) & Cheeseburger Mac. Wow, really tasty. Restaurant is in close proximity to the Great Wolf Lodge & the Kalahari & they’re open until 9 pm. Very casual atmosphere. Great place for kids. Will definitely go there again!

Great casual place where you won’t break the bank for lunch in the Dells. Food was excellent and exactly what my wife and I were hoping for in a Mac and cheese restaurant, live that the meal/combo option provides a salad and even more that you have multiple salad choices instead of only a basic side salad. Would recommend to anyone looking for a casual meal.

Love it! Always a go-to when we’re in the dells every year. Sometimes we’ll even stop twice. Worth the trip, even if you’re just driving through. The carnitas mac is our favorite. Friendly staff, and quick service regardless of how busy it is.
