Good burger. Great fries.

– Anna’s Burger – $15.25: Cheesy! Lots of cheese! The American and Swiss cheeses were good and almost look like an egg on the burger. The two burger patties were cooked to medium or medium-well and very juicy good! The lettuce was crisp and fresh, but huge and difficult to eat the way it was topped. The onions and tomato were delicious and complimented well. It was a bit sloppy to eat (maybe a bit too much burger sauce?). The bun complimented well. Overall, it was delicious.

– Fries (free with the burger): Some of the best fries I’ve had. Everything was well balanced. The battered fries are medium cut, seasoned and cooked perfectly. They seemed a bit on the dark side, but the flavor was not impacted at all.

– Gourmet Hot Chocolate – $4.75: Standard. Settled towards the end. Good whipped topping. Nice cup.

– Service: Amazingly great but slightly delayed. He was very helpful and super kind. The burger came out VERY quickly after we ordered it, but it did take a minute to have our order taken and to get our bill (we were in a little bit of a hurry, though). It was a busy time.

– Atmosphere: Very bright colors and really cheerful. It is a mix between 50’s diner and grandma’s house. There were booths, tables with chairs, and even a breakfast bar. It was clean, organized, and well thought out.

– Conclusion: I’d recommend their burger and HIGHLY recommend their fries.

Visited on a Saturday at 2pm.

Phenomenal food, fine prices, ok portions.

The food here is great. Everything tastes so fresh and so good. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted pretty fresh.

The hash brown was the best I’ve had, and they prepared it just how I liked, crispy. The crab cake Benedict was good. But the crab cake left me wanting something better. It wasn’t bad. Just wasn’t great.

The chicken and waffle was fine. They just have better options there. Chicken was seasoned perfectly and cooked very well. The waffle… well is a waffle. Not bad. The gravy was really sweet, so be warned. I just wish there was more balance of sweet and savory (Sweet= waffle, syrup, gravy. Savory= Chicken)

The latte I got was good too. Forgot what it was called.

The portion sizes should be fine for most people. But for me, it was teetering on the smaller size, but still fairly sized for the price and taste.

Overall: 9.0/10

Everything on the menu looked so good. My wife and I decided on the chipotle southwest bowl and the twilight French toast. Both were great! Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu. Waitress was very kind and attentive. Place was very busy, but still quick to seat us and overall service was fast too. Only downside is it feels a little crowded when it’s busy and sitting by the door during the winter can be cold with the door opening a lot.

I visited Anna’s House for breakfast this morning after many months away, and unfortunately the experience fell short of what used to be my favorite spot. My food came out quickly, but the quality just wasn’t there. I ordered the Cook’s Sandwich, and the bread was barely toasted while half the avocado was black and mushy. The home fries were also undercooked.

Even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy, it took several minutes for my server to check in. He did offer to remake the dish right away, which I appreciated, but I chose to order something different instead. My second order came out promptly and was much better.

We were seated at a very small table for two, even though many dishes here come with multiple plates and plenty of larger tables were available. I also finished my coffee early on and wasn’t offered a refill until I was getting ready to leave.

Overall, this visit didn’t match the consistently great experiences I’ve had at Anna’s House in the past. I was really excited to return, especially for my favorite breakfast sandwich, so it was disappointing. I couldn’t help but wonder if this dip in quality is why the restaurant was only half full.

I had the pleasure of dining at this charming spot during my trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan. Craving brunch, I received a recommendation for this place. The restaurant, though small, welcomed us warmly, and the hostess promptly seated us.

To kick off the meal, I opted for the fresh-squeezed orange juice, a delightful and sweet choice. Additionally, we ordered the monkey bread, a shareable cinnamon pull-apart bread topped with cream cheese icing. It was a highlight that I truly enjoyed. For my main dish, I chose Anna’s Skillet but with bacon instead of ham. Upon tasting it, I felt it lacked sufficient salt and pepper — it seemed as though they hadn’t added any at all. However, after a sprinkle of seasoning, it became delicious. Others in my party ordered shrimp and grits, as well as omelets, and they too were pleased with their choices.
