Fishville Trading Post

While not wanting to be soapy, yet at the same time feeling compelled to do so, I have to say that the entire staff at Fishville Trading Post, LLC make it a must see, stop and enjoy. From their cafeteria to their quaint store and the upstairs which holds more definitely is delightful. Giving the residence of Bocachica and the entire Tri-County area a great place to eat and find all their essential needs in one stop. Plus the courtesy and hospitality which the entire staff shows makes it feel like you’re home. thank you for being such a great part of living in Boca Chica, Palacios Texas.

Ordered a pizza and wings for lunch with my husband. Pizza was good. Wings were nice and crispy from the fryer. The wing sauce on the other hand, I have never had worse. It was so runny and buttery it didn’t even flavor the wings.
The young lady that served us was AMAZING! Great service and answered all our questions.
I gave Atmosphere one star because, who I am assuming is the manager, was the rudest person in there. The way he talks to the servers is not only embarrassing it’s rude and demeaning. No one should be talked down to like that while working and also in front of customers! Do better

Incredible food and such large portions that it will feed you for days. Fishville is authentic AF! We tried three different things on the menu and each was top level, real fried cheese curds, a chicken sandwich that kept me full the entire weekend, and great people who work and cook here. “I’d rather leave you full than hungry,” the cook said. On that he very much succeeded!

I’m having the pulled pork sandwich with home made chips and iced tea. The tea is fresh, the sandwich is really good, meat is stacked high, and has red onions and pickles.

The home made chips are lightly seasoned and crispy to perfection. Aaliya aka Allie waited on me and was very attentive.
Thank you for an enjoyable dining experience. 🙂

I go to this place everyday I wish I could afford to eat there 7 years ago I got rib eye steak ,cfs sandwich,and it was at 20$ now I wait on myself if I bring a guest for dinner get so embarrassed last time only coule in restaurant at 4,:30 ordered seafood combo late fried or grilled very expensive I have no teeth said grilled fish came out fried forgot my coleslaw forgot my baked potato no shrimp I waited over 1 hour 3 minutes 1 fish 5 minutes later 1 coleslaw 20 minutes later 3 shrimp still not grilled fried luckily my guest ordered the special needless to say he paid like 27$ for my meal by the time I got each individual I ordered he lived 2 hours away the whole experience was exhausting and never did he come back

Came here today with my husband and father in law who are from the area. They have both eaten here before and have said it has gone down hill. Prices have increased drinks and fries aren’t included and you have to add everything on. The lady at the register was trying to up-sale us by adding everything even though I stated I didn’t want a side… she kept saying “are you sure”
Then after you order at the counter they stare you down for a tip which is fine we tipped appropriately but if you tip you expect to get a “service”… so tell me why when I asked her for silverware after I got my own drink and sauces at the self serve station she was telling me where to go grab it as she just brought me my food… Thankfully another lady that worked there stepped in to grab it for us.. Also we got the all you can eat cat fish and asked for the second order and they forgot to put it in… so we waited forever. What a joke.

We have eaten here many times and it’s always been good. Tonight was not good. Fish undercooked. Shrimp had no flavor and batter was corn meal. My baked potato was hard. My salad had brown lettuce. We was served after other people that ordered after us. Disappointed thought we had found a great place to eat!

After a spell with poor staffing and getting everything wrong, they are really kicking! Got catfish dinner take out yesterday. It was soon good! We went back today to eat in and they did not disappoint! Really good catfish and I know it is weird but the ranch dressing was awesome! I’m picky about my dressing. Great job!

We were a little lost when we first walked in. There were two young ladies at the register. We were not greeted or spoken to. We followed one to another counter with a menu. Still no greeting or How can I help you? We ordered and was asked questions about sides. Food was really good and filling. I was told they were out of the homemade chips ans had to ask forbour appetizer and coleslaw. The only friendly greeting we heard was to a man by a gentleman that came out-of the kitchen. That would have been wonderful to have received that greeting when we arrived.

Went out for lunch. Have always enjoyed everything we have had before. We ordered the steak….never again. They were tough with a lot of gristle and fat. Undercooked. The waitress wanted to take them back but, even if they cooked them more they still would have not been chewable. The appetizers and sides were good.
Will stick to catfish and burgers there from now on.
