We were in the area for Thanksgiving day, and just enjoying a walk around Silver City, when all of the sudden someone called out “are you looking for somewhere with food in a town where everything is closed? Come on in, I’ve got some leftover pastry” So, we went into Diane’s. My youngest got a huge cinnamon roll, my oldest got a cookie, and my wife and I got fruit pastries, all of which were absolutely fantastic. Diane was so happy to share, she didn’t ask for anything in return. We dropped a $20 in the tip jar and enjoyed our pastry out at the picnic tables. For someone that has never been to Silver City before, this interaction leads me to believe that the city is full of some of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet.

Very nice bakery with delicious donuts and pastries. They have very good coffee, but they don’t sell Lattes?
They also have a nice selection of sandwiches. I had the tuna with double meat and it was very good. I will definitely be back.

Highly disappointed with the bread rounds.
All types completely covered in a THICK layer of flour. So thick it had to be scraped off. Not just wiped. Scraped.
The taste of the bread and density of it is ok but not great.
The green chili cheddar loaf is beautiful and delicious. (Not coated in flour).
*Photo of how thick the flour is added
*Edit The idea of having to sit and SCRAPE the flour off the bread to be able to eat it lead to it going bad.
NEVER buying here again.

My family and I were visiting the gorgeous Gila Wilderness and stocked up on sandwiches for one of our hikes. The cheese sandwiches we ordered were delicious and filled with fresh fixings, and the green chile cheese bread took them to the next level. We also ordered a blueberry pie to celebrate my sister’s birthday–I loved that the filling wasn’t too sweet so that you could actually taste the blueberries. And the crust was perfectly done.
