My normally delicious food that I frequently pick up was horrible tonight. (1-5-26 @7pm) the smash burger was dry, and had no caramelized onions on it at all… my fries were crunchy and dry like they were put in the deep fryer to reheat them. Im super bummed! I get the same meal at least once per week, but this time I was better off going elsewhere… I might have to find a different weekly meal after I choke this down . My son’s macaroni and cheese was a bit dry too, and his fries were like mine… over cooked. His tummy yummy was the only thing that wasn’t ruined tonight.

I jinxed myself by bragging tonight to a friend about how much better the food has been at this Hilliard’s location the last several times we have ordered. It is obvious they want you to order online so they don’t have to answer a phone which has become the norm for many restaurants today! One side item was left off and the other entree order was supposed to be double bbq meat with a side baked potato and NO nasty watery Brunswick stew. I got a regular BBQ plate, potato with a cup of Brunswick stew. The picture I am including is the supposed double meat dinner! I called to speak to the manager and I was asked if I wanted to come back for the cole slaw and then was told I did get a double portion of meat. I can assure you the amount was nowhere near what I have ordered multiple times prior to tonight. My husband was told he had a nasty attitude! The manager’s tone of voice was very inappropriate and unprofessional. My husband then made a nasty remark (which was definitely inappropriate) to let her know what a definite nasty attitude was! In addition, we waited at curb service for 10 minutes after I indicated online that I had arrived. Tipped an additional $3.00 when order was placed. And the only response the manager offered was to ask if we wanted to come back for the coleslaw??! Seriously?? This customer will be sharing this story with not just this Google site!! Not the way to keep my business!

We came in with a large party 25+ and requested the back room. Our party ended up being larger than originally stated and the waitress asked if we waited a few more minutes she would move us to a larger table configuration so we could all sit together. She was very organized with our orders and made sure to bring out the children food first. Food service was very quick, fresh and delicious. Jessie our waitress was wonderful and very responsive, even splitting the tickets multiple ways. Thank you Jessie and Carey Hilliards for allowing us to enjoy a meal with family during the Holidays

It’s has been many years since I’ve eaten at Cary Hilliard’s I had to be in Savannah to accompany a friend to an appointment. Since she was unable to eat we were both starving when you finished her appointment. I remember years ago the food was great at this restaurant. Not the case now, I orderd the Seafood platter with shrimp and oysters, baked potatoes and cole slaw. It wasn’t busy, it was around 1:40 pm. My friend ordered a Rib eye, green beans, baked potato and tossed salad. We must have gotten what was sitting under the heat lamp. The only item that was satisfactory temp wise were our baked potatoes…the butter barley melted. Everything else was room temperature. If we had not been starving everything would have gone back and we would have walked. I was so disappointed and I’m so glad I didn’t sell this place as being really good from my passed experience. The next time I’m in Savannah I will not drive past a Cary Hilliard’s for fear of having a bad dining experience flash back. The breading on my shrimp and oysters was bland and too thick. I loved the cole slaw, so all was not lost, but I will not go back.

Nya from Atlanta was our server since I was visiting from Atl she was perfect We ordered seafood salads wings and chicken tenders Yes I wanted to try everything our server suggested This location did not disappoint The smoked wings were my absolute favorite I stopped by on my out of town it took awhile to place my order because someone kept hanging up the phone Some how Nya answered apologized and quickly took our order I told the manager when I got there but she didn’t seem to care So I just tipped Nya real good and told everyone in the front to do better

Good little seafood joint. I got a fried catfish and bowl of crab stew and rootbeer soda, both were good (above average but nothing amazing), and it was $22 after tax, which I think is affordable for the size. Food was done in 5 minutes.
My waiter was very friendly, and even offered me a to-go soda.

I had cheated on Carey Hilliard’s @Waters by going to the Skidaway location what a big mistake the food was cold order came out jacked up ask to speak with manager she came out as jacked up as our order I had to go back to where I eat at at least two to three times a week and know that my order was gonna be right the manager is very friendly and approachable have amazing customer service

We frequent Carey Hilliards but tonight we had the best experience with Saniya. She was attentive, provided phenomenal service, and was a joy to talk to. Next time you go, ask to be seated in Saniya’s section. You won’t regret it!
