The young teenager staff was able to mess up an order that only included 3 items. They overcharged me and while they were preparing food some of them were touching their bodies. When I noticed the mistake the manger fixed it quickly. SHE MUST GET PROMOTED. She is so sweet and she gave me a free meal because of the mixup.

Everything tasted good…once the order was corrected. I’m not sure if it was due to new employees or miscommunication, however, our order was missing several things that were corrected (we like to check before leaving the drive thru just in case there’s any errors). We had ordered 2 kids meals, chili, burger meal and large fry. We were missing two spoons, and all fries. One small fry should have been in the chicken tender box, another for the kids burger and the other with the adult meal. Maybe they weren’t cooked and ready yet? We were given a fork (maybe it was supposed to be the spoon for the chili). Not given a straw nor spoon for the shake. Just used the fork because I didn’t want to ask for anything else at that point. Also, the shake nearly completely fell in my husband’s lap. Some spilled out, but, they made a new one and was apologetic. The lid was not completely secured to the cup.
We were kind and patient, as was the one girl at the window, so I think it was just a lack of communication/new employee/misunderstanding. Two other employees were standing, maybe it wasn’t busy at the moment. We were the only car in the drive thru.

I don’t usually give a strong review of fast food places, but I come here fairly regularly and this place is consistently good.
First of all the food is always fresh and good, I usually come in for a burger and fries because for the price and quality, it can’t be beaten locally.
This particular location is always clean, always well staffed, the employees are always polite and professional, the service is fast, and although it’s a walk-up counter with no table service I believe it keeps costs down and allows the staff to concentrate on the food quality.
There is nowhere else in town where you can consistently get a fresh and good quality burger at these prices.

This place has gone downhill. No longer is there a wait at staff. You order at the counter like you’re at McDonald’s. The menu is half what it used to be. The food itself was mediocre at best. It gave my mother the runs. The booth we sat at had a hole in it and the roof was leaking. Never going back.

We eat Steak ‘n Shake a lot, this location for the 2nd time serving patties out of a warmer tray. Wasn’t busy at all but no way my meat shouldn’t melt my cheese. Fries on top were good and fresh but get to the bottom it’s like they were sitting for a while. Spending $65 on burgers that’s like warm and don’t melt the cheese is ridiculous.

This was my first visit to a Steak ‘n Shake and the food was nice enough but the lady serving was beyond helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, even for an English customer that didn’t understand the menu – thank you! I am sorry I didn’t get your name to give you credit here.
