Came at 1230 on a Saturday, it was packed! Soon found out why, an amazing offering of pastries and treats. Got a green tea, and a mud slide(iced). Both were perfect!

Black dog is a not-so-hidden gem. I wish I lived here in Kansas City so I could spend more time here. Its a beautiful place, with kind people and a great atmosphere. The pastry I got was delicious, a raspberry and lime dessert pastry. I also ordered a regular iced latte, which was also delicious. The espresso was delicious! Very warm feeling, not too sharp or bitter. Over all very nice place and I would absolutely reccomend giving it a try.

Coming in from Florida for MNF and as a Taylor fan, this place was a must on the itinerary! It may be small but the atmosphere is warm and coffee hot. I had the biscuits and gravy and my friend had a sandwich. Both were delicious and I know biscuits and gravy! Would definitely come back!

A fantastic coffee shop was a great atmosphere, ample seating, patio setup, relaxed environment, and a bakery “attached”.
One of the only places thats served sparking water with my Cortado (btw sparking water is served to cleanse the palate).
We tried the Lavender Black pepper latte from their Spring menu and it was very well made. Perfect amount of lavender and the black pepper was a fantastic addition.
Would high recommend hitting this place up for coffee, a bakery item and just taking it easy on the patio.

We have wanted to try Ibis Bakery for some time. Once I found out that Black Dog was connected, we went! The coffee was great. I had a honey and lavender latte. We also had an almond Croissant and a Pan au chocolate Croissant. The almond Croissant was the best one I’ve ever had! We also grabbed a Cheese Slipper loaf for later.

The chai latte is SO good, more on the spicy side than sweet. I also got a toast, which was good. Decent music that does a good job of drowning out other people’s conversations, but I think a meeting might be difficult depending on where you’re sitting.

Blackdog is my safe place. I tend to get there right at open, enjoy the cafe while it isn’t busy. They have secluded seating that is perfect for somebody like me who kinda hides from the crowd. The staff always takes such good care of me. They’re slowly remembering my name, I don’t feel judged for getting my overly sweet lattes, I get beautiful art on my drinks, their coffee cake makes me super happy, and I’m glad to be supporting any place but Starbucks honestly. People complain about prices but you spend more at a big corporation coffee place and get less than a quarter of the attention in your drink. I love this team of employees. I appreciate them and their hard work and I’m thankful to have such a cozy place to escape to.

Good coffee and food choices. We did t try the cranberry toast and it is good , Avocado toast was good , chicken salad sandwich was good. The Ibis bakery almond croissant is always my favorite. The chocolate croissant is good but I wished they warmed it.

I wish there were more ways I could profess my love for Black Dog Coffeehouse. Literally the best coconut latte in Kansas City. And their toast options! Oh my, they are dynamite. Everytime I come in, it’s full of beautiful wonderful people. I love this place. I wish I owned it, worked there, and spent my life there.

The hot matcha soy latte was so good, and my friend liked her vanilla latte with regular milk. There are local products when you first walk in, like Messner Bee Farm & Messenger Coffee. Sometimes samples of the baked goods, such as lemon pound cake & almond croissant, which are all delicious! A great place to bring a laptop and work from with free wi-fi and tables.
