A delightful and popular institution among NOLA bakery gelaterias. Outstanding traditional Italian pastries; tortes, cannolis, eclairs and cake slices. Good assortment of gelato flavors. Also quite a variety of imported packaged Italian delicacies displayed for gifting and take home. There are a handful of small tables in front and more sit down tables just above/beyond the main floor. Parking is tight in front, but there’s a variety of options nearby.

Probably the closest to real Italian desserts you can get in Louisiana. Light and delicious cannolis and other little pastries! It’s hard not to overbuy all the desserts they have to offer. They even have baked Alaska! I need to try it next time for sure.

This is one of my favorite places; I go three or four times a week. But the last four times I’ve been, the cappuccino has been awful. This used to be one of the few places where you could get a decent coffee. It was just foamy water, a terrible experience. I should invest in a barista.

I really love the tiramisu cake here! It’s always delicious and consistent. I keep coming back not just for the tiramisu, but also for the blueberry tart and cheesecake, which are equally amazing. The desserts are always fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The staff is friendly. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys quality desserts!

The gelato was delicious. I got the strawberry cheesecake and it was so sweet and creamy. All the other pastries looked so appetizing.
The store is quite small but cozy. There was a line since we went on a Saturday evening. The wait isn’t too bad and the service is great!

Don’t tell anybody about the almond macaroons.
My grandmother served these as a child. I have been looking for them for years.
When I put it in my mouth it melted and my childhood memories came flying back.
Even if you didn’t eat them as a child, they are the best cookie you will ever find.
For you macaroon fans, yes I said cookie. this is not a tall round bundle of coconut . It’s a flat crisp, no coconut.
I doubt that this is where Grandma got them. She probably went to Gambino’s or McKenzie. But this is exactly as I remember.

This place doesn’t really need an introduction; its reputation speaks for itself. Casual charm and personal nostalgia made this a no-brainer place to get my morning coffee and sfogliatelle, or “fogies” as they adorably call it. Note that they only do sfogliatelle on the weekends or special holidays as they are intensive to make. Anyway, everything’s freshly made and tastes how it’s supposed to. Now, if I can only get lobster tails… 🙂
