Lovely diner with great staff, decor, and food! The breakfast burrito was very fresh and filling and the waffle was great too. Did not personally try the coffee but I didn’t hear any complaints from my family who did. Lots of parking makes this place very accessible too!

We were tired and hungry after beach time and were excited to find out Ruby’s was open and nearby! Hannah was our server and she was friendly and really took great care of us!! Everything we ate was delicious and the portions are huge!! Ambience is a classic 50’s diner………we love that!!

I had such a great experience! The classic burger was absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked, juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. You can tell it was made fresh and with care. The strawberry Oreo shake was next level — thick, creamy, and the perfect balance of strawberry sweetness with crunchy Oreo pieces blended in. And the apple pie with vanilla ice cream and cinnamon? Incredible. The pie was warm and comforting, and the cold vanilla ice cream melted perfectly over the top with just the right touch of cinnamon.
On top of the delicious food, our waiter was awesome — super attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Came here last minute and I’m glad I did. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to

We travel to California from Washington state once a year and we always make sure to stop at Rubys in Laguna and sit on their upper patio if available. Food is always delicious and service is always exceptional. We will definitely keep coming back year after year.

Dry burger + fried and medium cherry coke like $23. Been here first and last time … for a diner their signature burger on sourdough with avocado was absolute garbage, fries frozen from a bag and shitty fountain drink. Seriously expected a little better. But it really sucks. Can’t believe this place is open. Hate leaving bad reviews … hate getting dry burgers more. They offered to remake it, but what’s the point? If they knew what to do they would’ve done it. Don’t need shitty undercooked burger. Anyway – go just about anywhere. Shake shack on PCH far better choice …. And I think cheaper … wow this place sucked … shockingly bad.

Most excellent service! Saw the restaurant from the left side while driving opposite direction, so I had to turn around and it was definitely worth coming to eat at! Jaime G. was the most polite and courteous server! He checked in on us, and made sure our food was good and came back to the table right away when we needed to go cups for milkshakes we didn’t finish. Had a wonderful time for our first experience! Thank you Jaime G. for being such a kind person. We will remember the time we stopped in Ruby’s Diner and have a great memory to look back on.

Hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The staff is genuinely happy, the atmosphere is so fun. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a diner like this in years they really embody the 1950s feel with incredible food.

If you’re looking for a classic spot with amazing views, Ruby’s Diner in Laguna Beach is such a gem! We sat up on the top deck and the view was unreal — you can see the ocean stretching out forever.
The food definitely hits the spot too! I have to shout out their mustard — seriously the best I’ve ever had (it sounds funny but once you try it, you’ll know what I mean ). And their milkshakes are on another level — super creamy and rich.
This place makes for such a cute date spot, especially if you time it for golden hour. I always get the blue cheese burger – the best. Good vibes, great comfort food, and that gorgeous Laguna sunset? Perfect little beach day combo.
