My experience was amazing. The service was really nice. My food was amazing. You have to try the toasted biscuits along with their gravy. Oh my God!!! my honey bun, loves the shrimp and grits. The grits was really really good and also I had hashbrowns with really good. this place is family friendly great place for breakfast if you’re looking for something that’s really southern this is the place for you. This is one of my favorite places.

Visited Big Ed’s for the first time after many positive reviews read. I’ll have to agree, with what I’ve read. Very busy, staff very friendly and attentive with good eats. I ordered the catfish , spiced apples and an egg with orange juice. I very much enjoyed my meal. I was able to carry a portion of it home to eat for later as the catfish was pretty sizable. The ambiance is rustic , puts me in the mind of the other breakfast chain. I would definitely return.

The breakfast here is one of our favorites, so much that we drive an hour out of our way to dine here on occasion. The pancakes are thick and fluffy. The sausage gravy is mostly sausage with a little bit of gravy. It’s made with nahunta spicy sausage which is flavorful with a little heat. The home fries are always hot and crispy. We’ve never left here hungry.

Mannn! I couldn’t eat it all. Known for its large pancake, Big Ed’s serves up a good ol fashioned, hearty breakfast! I enjoy every time I visit!

Briana was great! She helped me make very complicated order into a simple order that saved me a few dollars. She was very attentive and personable, 10/10 service. I had the catfish with cheese grits, home fries and a biscuit. The fish was fried and seasoned perfectly, the home fries were crispy, the grits were just as I ordered and the biscuit was fluffy. I’ll be back for sure

Big Ed’s in Raleigh, NC is absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, welcoming smiles and seated quickly, which immediately set the tone for a great experience.
I had the best waitress ever — Ashley — who provided true 5-star service. She was friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations that did not disappoint. Big Ed’s has incredible breakfast and lunch options. I ordered the hamburger steak, which was delicious and cooked perfectly, and my friend had the hotcakes, which were just as amazing.
The biscuits were perfectly golden, soft, and flavorful, and the sweet tea was hands-down the best. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, just like a classic Southern meal should.
I highly recommend Big Ed’s to anyone looking for great food and outstanding service — and if you can, ask for Ashley! She truly made the experience unforgettable. ️

Big Ed’s in Raleigh gives at home country food on the edge of the big City. Always a good country meal. I have had breakfast and lunch here. Never once a bad meal. Always look forward to coming back for the daily special.
I would really recommend you get the peach cobbler if you are thinking desert. I enjoy it.
The staff is always friendly.
I think one of the things I enjoy about this place is that it is surrounded by all of these themed restaurants. However, Big Ed’s gives you a good southern meal that does not break the bank. I am not in there enough to be considered a regular but I enjoyed the fact that the staff knew many of the patrons by name.

The best this about this whole meal was our server Brandy. Grits had no flavor, fish was ok and the biscuits ya let’s just say nope. Oh and the fat back was good. The pancake was so thick you need so much to drink its sad we sent it back. So ya won’t be back, thanks but no thanks
