We are locally owned and operated casual seafood restaurant, serving up fresh seafood, sushi, burgers, poke bowls and more in a casual family friendly environment. In 2020 we relocated from Harborwalk Village where we operated for the past 6 years to our new location right on Hwy 98 in the former home of Cuvée Kitchen & Wine Bar.

We stopped here for happy hour after spending time nearby at Henderson Beach and had a wonderful time. The drinks were yummy (and reasonably happy-hour priced), the service was warm & attentive, and the food we ordered to-go was phenomenal. I ordered the marinated tuna poke bowl with both teriyaki sauce and spicy mayo, and inhaled it back at our hotel. Definitely one of the best food and drink spots in Destin. So glad we had our last night’s meal there!!

Popped in for some lunch and had a great experience. I ordered the all you can eat sushi, which was a bit ambitious! The rolls were alot more than I thought and tasted amazing!.
Service was superb! Server was Amber and she was attentive and personable. I really enjoyed my experience with her.

The food was great but where this restaurant shines is its customer service. Suga Ray was amazing. Explained the menu, anticipated what we needed and had the best personality. He had me and my mom cracking up over lunch and we had everything we needed within seconds. Thank you so much! Will come again just to have him as our server

Had a fun visit to Jackacuda’s today. One big complaint up front is the 20% service charge automatically added to bill (see attached photo). They didn’t make me aware to expect this until the bill came. Sushi was VERY good and I would have tipped well anyway, but I hate not getting the vote on the quality of the service. Interesting atmosphere and one of the nicest restrooms I have ever seen. Service was very good as the waiter was kind and helpful if a little slow for the low crowd. They do have all you can eat sushi specials starting at $30 per person and $74 per person for the AYCE crablegs. Sorry to say I won’t go back just due the cost. Please give me a reaction if you read this. Thanks.

The place to go for AYCE snow crab legs in Destin, when you just need your fix. The sushi is amazing, the grilled mahi is fantastic and the service has never been lacking.

Our waitress, Brittany (not sure of spelling), made the whole dinner. She was very attentive and so kind. For appetizers, we had the pork belly and shrimp rangoons. They were both delicious; although, I expected the pork belly to be thick chunks not like a thick cut bacon. For main course, we had the blackened snapper and mad mango roll. The blackened snapper was a little dry but flavorful. The mad mango roll was refreshing.

Our server sierra was awesome and very attentive and is the reason I gave 5 stars. The food was good but we don’t like restaurants that automatically have the tip built into the bill especially if it’s not all going to our server. We always tip our servers 20% or more but it always feels shady when restaurants do this.

JackaCuda’s is a seafood and sushi restaurant located in Destin, Florida. We stopped in for lunch because most of the other restaurants were too crowded. This restaurant was completely empty, which was definitely not a great sign. Regardless, we were happy to be seated and decided to stay and dine-in.
First off, this restaurant, aesthetically, is very nice. It’s decorated well and has a large bar. Our server happened to be the bartender, Keith. He was friendly but it was obvious they were desperate for business. He almost never left our table. It is what it is, he wasn’t rude, but you could tell he was bored and possibly lonely as well.
The food was hit or miss, truly. We started with the Crispy Pork Dumplings, which were really good. We also enjoyed the Fried Shrimp Rangoons. They had a nice texture and filling to them. Our entrees weren’t as good — my Poké Bowl was too fishy and needed more sauce/seasoning. My Mom’s Mahi Mahi Sandwich was alright — the fish was good quality but it was overly salty.
The kick in the shins was at the end, when we received our bill. This place adds a 20% “service fee” to all orders. This brought our bill from about $65 to nearly $80. So, given the service charge, I don’t think we’d come back. But I hope more customers come in, Keith is great socially.

If you’re looking for fresh, homemade sushi with great service, Jackacuda’s is the place to be. Every bite was bursting with flavor, and it was clear that everything was made with care and the highest quality ingredients. From the first taste to the last, it felt like a true wholesome meal.
What really made our experience stand out, though, was Romeo. He was so welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. His friendly and professional service really added to the overall experience, and we truly appreciated his kindness.
