10/10, best dining experience/coolest people ever! Every part of every dish was absolutely amazing, oysters and crudo were delicious, shrimp roll was insane (and really great for the price), the caesar was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The wait was a bit long but we did go at peak time so it was expected, and after dining we don’t regret waiting for a table even one bit. The vibe was great and the staff were so fun to talk to, we are so happy to have found this place, and will definitely come back every time we’re ever in the island! ❤️

I’m a huge oyster fan and live on the coast, so I know my oysters! Every time I visit a new coastal town, I make a point of trying their local shucking spot. These were hands down the BEST oysters I’ve ever had. The variety was amazing, and the housemade sauces were unreal. My partner ordered the caesar salad, and it was absolutely next level.
I’m already looking for an excuse to get back to Comox just to come here again. See you next time!

Had a beautiful dinner at Gigi’s the other night, I was solo and sat at the bar. The attention to detail, conversation and food were impeccable. The oysters were especially delicious shucked and served in front of me. The staff were attentive, helpful and gracious in their time and conversation. I will be back, what a fabulous experience!

Amazing staff and atmosphere! Everyone was very nice an welcoming! We just went for drinks but I ended up trying my first oyster here. After that I had some more. They were really good! We sat at the bar and could see the oysters being shucked and selected right before us. Very interesting to watch! The staff were really knowledgeable and told us a lot of interesting things about the different types of oysters and where they got them from. I can only recommend going there! The burger is amazing too!!

Absolutely blown away by this spot! The food was out of this world — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The oysters were easily the best I’ve ever had: briny, crisp, and perfectly shucked. I travel a lot for work all over and love finding a gem like this. Great food and atmosphere! I love my raw oysters and GIG’S did not disappoint. Food drinks and people were amazing. I did not get a picture of the oysters because they did not last long enough. Yummmm

Let’s go to Gigi‘s for appetizers and then let’s go for somewhere for dinner lol
Don’t get me wrong, the taste of everything was super delicious. Our favourite was the crudo, it was divine, we’d come back just for this!! Make sure you order the bread so you can dip it in the really really good olive oil.
Next we had the pork belly and asparagus, as yummy as it was, this was definitely overpriced for the portion size, so I would say for $18, it’s not really worth it (forgot to take a picture).
The octopus and potatoes were also very tasty. We had ordered another large slice of bread.
The atmosphere was good, music was nice, it’s a small place (see video), the high tables might not be conducive for everyone.
Overall, it was good experience, but it’s more like a tapas place than a place that would fill you up for dinner unless you spend more than what we did.
With 3 spicy margaritas and a beer (20% off for happy hour) and the dishes mentioned above we still spent $132.

Stunning quality and service. Chef Paul is a gem with superior passion and knowledge of east to West Coast shellfish & seafood. The crudo is one of the best I’ve ever tasted. It’s an absolute pleasure sampling the ever changing menu as well as the oysters shucked with the upmost of love every time. Their local wine, beer, and cider choice is exceptional and chosen with intention. Always full always consistent and always lovely, GiGis oyster bar is a must visit for anyone coming through the Comox valley. Don’t miss out on the daily specials!

This place is absolutely fantastic!! The food was WOW!! I wanted to try everything! We got there ten minutes after the place opened and it filled up quickly. It’s a small boutique type restaurant and everyone there is very friendly and attentive. We had the oysters, the baked oysters with Parm and one with a Cajun kind of flavor – so good! We also had the pork belly, wontons and Crudo. I can’t say enough how delicious everything was!
