The pecan crusted walleye with orange glaze was spectacular! So nice to have a new flavor when eating fish. I will be back to have that walleye again! The couple we were with were vegan, and they were very happy with the choices offered, down to the apple turnover with vegan ice cream. The orange spice cake was divine, and I can’t say no to my favorite dessert creme brulee. We were celebrating my husband’s 70th birthday, and they accommodated us by moving our seats to a window seat.

Alesha, Kelly & Brooklyn at the bar are some of the best bartenders, we come back multiple times a week just because of the great service we have.

The food and drinks are great too.

Also shout out to Heather who sometimes serves or bartends, she was the first person that made us feel so welcome to come back.

Delicious butternut and lobster bisque soup. The Mediterranean salad was great. Lots of fresh vegetables! Cucumbers, three different varieties of tomatoes, chickpeas, kalamara olives, feta cheese, red pepper and red onion.
Nice Atmosphere and very attentive servers.

I visited Blue Water during a trip home to Grand Rapids. At first, I wasn’t sure what to expect with a name like that — I even joked, “Ooh, fancy.” But the moment I arrived, I was impressed. The entrance is stunning, with two koi ponds flanking the walkway, setting a calm and elegant tone before you even step inside.

I went around 6:30–7:00 PM and was seated immediately. The atmosphere inside was relaxed, with the soft buzz of conversation — almost like a peaceful coffee shop. I don’t recall seeing or hearing many children, though the space does feel family-friendly. That said, most of the crowd seemed to be adults enjoying dinner with friends or on a date, which makes sense — it’s the perfect spot for both.

The menu had a great variety, but I kept it simple with truffle fries and a burger — and let me tell you, it was far from basic. The flavors were rich and well-balanced, and everything was cooked to perfection. I also ordered a margarita, and the bartender did not disappoint. It was strong, flavorful, and not watered down — you could tell care went into it. The service overall was excellent — attentive, friendly, and well-paced.

After dinner, we checked out the outdoor seating area, which offered a gorgeous view of the lake. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the scenic backdrop, this place checks every box. Whether you’re catching up with cousins like I was or planning a romantic first date, Blue Water is a gem you won’t regret.

We have been meaning to go here for a while and I don’t know why we waited! It was a fallsy wintery menu. I didn’t know how awesome butternut squash actually was until I ate here. They had a brie, butternut squash, pecan app that was delicious! I got walleye with a pecan, brown butter sauce with brussel sprouts that was great! My wife got a pizza and it was really good too! Service was excellent, food was good, in and out pretty quick for lunch. What more could you ask for?

Everything was fantastic. The whitefish dip was amazing. Lots of vegetables and crackers filled me right up in that dammit came with mango or whatever so good together that fusion was everything. Then we got the shrimp add-on with the ahi seared tuna salad. ❤️. My nine-year-old tried seed tuna for the first time and liked it. I had to trick him and tell him it was steak. Which we also got to split and that was excellent as well. The potato salad was different than what I expected, but not bad. Just not my favorite. The peanut butter pie was great sorbet was great and truffle was great.

First time here, family of four, we loved the atmosphere and location. Food was good but not great. Excellent service. I asked for outside table and host got us a patio table with a lake view. We certainly come here again! Thank you!

We got brunch, and let me tell you – this was the BEST French toast I’ve ever had. Seriously. Just go here and get it. The breakfast pizza was also delicious. And the Bloody Mary bar was impressive with tons of options for ‘accessories’. Our server, John, was lovely. Can’t beat the view over the water as well. We love Blue Water and can’t wait to go back!

Our favorite Gilmore restaurant and now we have our favorite Blue Water server! Thank you, Tracie! We totally enjoyed having you as our server tonight!!! Thank you for your advice on our entree selections and just being delightful! Yes, anything that ends with “fries” but especially following truffle! Yes to the Ahi Tuna Salad for me but husband was very happy with his Black & Blue…daughter loved her Dirty Rice bowl.
