Great place for some good South Indian food. The chef once served President Bill Clinton and the Lady Hillary Clinton. So neat.

Lamb Homestyle Curry was amazing. Flavours were well blended and the lamb melts in your mouth. The Chicken Biryani is very flavourful. Rice is fluffy and the chicken is very tender. Very friendly staff and good service. Fast kitchen with meals coming out nice and hot. Naan bread is done very well. No credit card surcharge. Clean facility.

Prices were moderate for the portion. Curry was lacking for the portion. Clean washrooms though were super cold. You can see you breath.

We ordered Dal Makhani (5/5), Reshmi Kabaab (2/5 as it was not soft enough), Murg Malai Tikka (3/5), Chicken Tikka Masala (3/5), Ras Malai (4/5), Plain Naan (they were soft and yummy). Service was prompt and courteous.

We have been visiting this restaurant for the past 6 years whenever we come to Niagara Falls, but this time the experience was completely disappointing and not worth it.

We were seated early, but the waitress seemed totally disengaged. She didn’t bring us menus, plates, or even water. We had to ask her four times before getting basic service.

Food ordered:
• Masala Papad: It was just a few onions and tomatoes with green chutney (see picture). Absolutely horrible and not what masala papad should be.
• Paneer Tikka: Not cooked properly.
• Dal: This was the only dish that tasted good.
• Paneer Jalfrezi: Tasted like raw tomato puree, as if it was rushed and not cooked at all.

Overall, the quality and service have gone downhill significantly. It was a waste of money, especially disappointing for a place we’ve trusted for years.

Dilzit was amazing!!! Her service absolutely made the experience even more wonderful. We came back twice while we visited Niagara Falls. You will see many Indian restaurants. This was a recommendation from a local as his favorite and we’re so grateful for his great taste for authentic Indian food!!!

A must try and indulge… while in Canada!!

Incredible Authentic Indian Food – Must Visit!

Absolutely loved my experience at Chef of India in Niagara Falls! The food was authentic, aromatic, and halal, with every dish bursting with rich North Indian flavors. You can truly taste the passion behind the cooking.

Huge appreciation to Chef Sir Pankaj Kumar—a culinary master with a humble heart—and to Dilzit for the warm, attentive service. Portions were generous, pricing was very reasonable, and the quality was exceptional. ✨

✅ Halal options
✅ Great value for money
✅ Outstanding service

If you’re in Niagara Falls and craving real Indian cuisine, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Absolutely Wonderful Experience!

Chef of India, Niagara Falls, truly exceeded my expectations. The food was incredibly tasty with an authentic South Asian touch, and the hospitality was warm and welcoming. Every bite reminded me of the legendary Delhi Moti Mahal and Daryaganj restaurants — something I never thought I’d experience again, especially here.

Such delicious, rich, and perfectly balanced flavors! Honestly, this is some of the best Indian food I’ve had in the Niagara Falls area. It felt like a trip back to Delhi through taste. Highly recommended for anyone who loves real, soulful Indian cuisine. I will definitely be coming back again and again!

We have been here before so we know the food is good but the restaurant has a certain stickiness to it that we do not enjoy. We removed the sticky and food stained placemats and I made the mistake of moving the salt shaker. We ordered two portions of the Butter Chicken and one of the Tikka Masala and they brought two of the Tikka and one of the BC. I asked the server because we weren’t 100% sure as I had never ordered the Tikka here before and she assured me we had two of the BC…after further inspection the Tikka clearly had onion and green pepper in it. Trying to pull one over on us? Not sure but it was sad we only had very little of the BC as that is all my daughter will eat. We ordered mild and it was still quite spicy, at least for my daughter and I. Food is very flavourful but this trip has left a bad taste in my mouth. Photo shows the orange dish she said was not the Butter chicken when it clearly was.

Got chat bahar, chicken pakora, chicken korma, and chicken biryani. I wish they would sear and cook the chicken well before adding the curry for the korma and not just putting the meat into the curry directly. It was still a little pink for me. I like my meat brown and well flame-seared. Chat bahar was delish. Balanced out. I was expecting a chicken leg or a piece of chicken under the biryani rice but only found (2) small pieces of chicken breast – too small couldn’t even see them at first. For the chicken pakora too – the chicken is still a little pink. Dal Makhani is bland. Need more flame on it or keep it deep fried for more minutes. I dont think i’d be coming back. Paid Parking at side.

The mango Salad tastes amazing. I thought it will be sour but it’s on the sweeter side. Also, the shrimp biryani , chicken korma, and nan actually took me back to India. The food is very flavorful and service is quick (10-15 min wait). Will highly recommend.
