Sweet treats that are oh, so pretty! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake, the pistachio eclair, and chocolate eclair. The eclair’s are ok. They could be more moist inside. The pistachio was a bit dry for me. Located near the farmers market – inside the food court area.

That morning will probably stay with me for the rest of my life — and not in a good way. I absolutely love starting my day with a coffee and a croissant. A beautiful, fluffy, buttery croissant with a Parisian vibe — sometimes chocolate, sometimes classic — it’s my little pleasure. I don’t allow myself pastries every day because I try to stay in shape, but when I do indulge, I want to fully enjoy the moment.

We specifically came to the Farmers Market to visit Michellina because it was described everywhere as “Parisian vibes, from Paris with love.” Beautiful photos, pink lights, so many pastries and baked goods — it all looked perfect… until we actually got to the counter.

While we stood in line — and the line wasn’t even long, we were second — I noticed flies sitting directly on the pastries. Not just landing for a second, but literally sitting there for minutes. It was shocking and honestly disgusting. The pastries were completely exposed, and the flies were walking all over them like it was their home.

What made it worse: the staff didn’t care at all. The women working there didn’t even try to shoo the flies away. Right in front of me, a fly sat on a pastry for at least two minutes, and then someone ordered that exact pastry. The staff member just picked it up as if nothing happened and handed it to the customer. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

I was so disturbed that I didn’t touch a single croissant or pastry for almost a month after that morning. I even took photos because I couldn’t believe how many flies were on the food — I literally made a whole photoshoot of flies for 10 minutes because they were just walking around freely.

It was honestly one of the most unpleasant food experiences I’ve ever had. I think it’s unacceptable and a total disgrace for a place that sells pastries at a popular market in Los Angeles. Every time I visit the Farmers Market, I still see crowds there, and I’m shocked that people continue eating something that, sorry, looks like it’s been shared with every fly in the neighborhood.

Absolutely a hard no from me. Total ban.

I passed this stall in the farmer’s market area of The Grove and the pastries looked so appetizing. I bought hazelnut praline croissant. The croissant was good and flaky. The hazelnut praline filling had a good sweetness. However, I wish that the croissant was more buttery.

I recently tried the spinach and Brie quiche at Michelina in Los Angeles, and it was excellent — very soft and flavorful, with a perfectly crispy crust. The portion was a bit small, but still satisfying and delicious.

I also tried the almond chocolate croissant, which was freshly made and tasty, with a nice balance of sweet almond and rich chocolate in a flaky, buttery pastry.

Michelina has a real Parisian café feel, right in the heart of Los Angeles. The service was very good — friendly and attentive. They offer an espresso bar (though no filtered coffee), and their bakery selection is impressive. You’ll see croissants on display along the walls, plus cakes, bagels, cheesecakes, fruit tarts, and homemade bread, all made fresh and with visible care.

Overall, Michelina is a great spot for authentic, fresh French-style baked goods, even if some items are on the smaller side. I look forward to trying more from their menu next time!

Overall this is a decent spot to visit while at the Grove and Farmers Market.

Last time I stopped by, I enjoyed the croissant but the latte was terrible and the service was pretty lackluster.

I stopped by today and service was much better. I ordered a strawberry mousse and couple macarons.

The mousse wasn’t as sweet as I expected which was a good thing. It looks like a giant strawberry! The mouse is light and fluffy with a tart strawberry filling and soft cake.

The raspberry macaron and chocolate macaron were pretty small for $3.00 and the texture wasn’t quite there but the flavor were nice (tart for the raspberry and chocolatey for the … chocolate) and they weren’t overly sweet

We ordered the Eggs Benedict Prosciutto and an omelet. Both dishes were well-prepared and tasted good, though not exceptional. The eggs were nicely poached, and the prosciutto added a nice touch, but the flavors didn’t quite stand out as much as we had hoped. The omelet was fluffy and well-cooked but could have used a bit more seasoning to elevate the taste.

Service was friendly and efficient, and the presentation of the food was appealing. While the experience was enjoyable, there’s room for a little improvement to make the dishes truly memorable.

A delightful experience, truly a carbohydrate paradise! The cafe au lait was notably bold, creamy, and luxurious.

Great breakfast place!
I really love this little bakery- it had various types of pastries, like croissants and little cakes, and macaroons, and it is perfect for breakfast or just a coffee stop:

Apart from those little pastries, you can also have a big regular breakfast and there are many option with Benedict eggs in that place. LOVE this!

Coffee is also great, if you are not feeling too full, just get it!

It’s pretty popular and gets busy through your the day; better save ur spot and come early:)

Awful Service. I wont be back.
I have been a regular customer at this bakery. I usually buy bread. Today I decided to try a breakfast. I asked for prosciutto eggs benedict eggs medium. They served me 2 fried eggs and bread. I said this is not what I ordered. They tried to gasslight me and accuse me of changing my order that I prepaid for including a tip. They took it back and made me wait 30 minutes only to recieve cold food and eggs runny. I was so upset left it all there never to return.
