After many trips to the OBX I finally tried Goombays!
What a treat. The food was fresh and delicious.
The servers were very attentive and friendly. I was attended to by several people. The atmosphere fits right in and the price is very good.
The parking lot my be full but there is still room inside!

Our absolute fav spot to visit while here! The vibes + drinks + food is unmatched! Came her right after getting engaged in 2024 so we had to come back during our honeymoon in 2025! Been coming every year for over 15 years! Love love love it! Get the crab dip, jazzy chicken, and a Goombays smash! Loved all the Halloween decor while we were there!

This is our go to spot ! The staff is so friendly and the food and drinks are incredible. Family friendly place and great atmosphere. Highly recommend. Parking during off season is easy but in peak summer it maybe difficult to park.

Had a great family dining experience! Everyone had very fresh food and it arrived hot and quickly. The small parking lot actually keeps the inside for getting too overcrowded. Would suggest going at off-peak hours to make sure you get a table and food quickly. Will definitely be back again when we are on the island. Looked like there was a great and comfortable bar also if you dont want to sit at a table.

Always colorful with an excellent menu for lunch. Brought friends for their first visit and the two that ordered the Rasta Pasta decided we were coming back in three days. They also bought containers of the sauce to take home. Shrimp and crab curry soup was unique and gently creamy with fresh vegetables. Burgers and flounder were top notch and we had to order additional jalapeno crab balls. Onion rings were large, perfectly breaded and not overdone. Kayla was an amazing server – a true ambassador to Goombays. Christian assisted and was clearing our table frequently and checking our needs. A great experience!

Service was excellent, food was great. We enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend their banana pudding cheesecake. Amazing flavor and it’s not too sweet, which is perfect. Most restaurants have very overly sweetened dessert. Would certainly be back again.

The food was not great, but service and atmosphere were fun! Except, for who i’m assuming is the back of the house manager, was very rude. The front of the house staff were all very nice and friendly and the drinks were good, so I would go back for just a drink

I stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night and the dining area was almost full to capacity. The dining area is a bit small and most tables are pretty close to each other. I liked the crab dip and fried fish plate with rice and vegetables.

Our server Cala was amazing and she recommended a great meal and was very patient with ALL of my questions I had being ones my first time here. The food was amazing I had fried flounder and shrimp with fries and coleslaw my husband had the same except for he had fried oysters instead of shrimp. The drinks she suggested was amazing as well. I would definitely recommend this restaurant the scored a 10 out of 10 in my book everyone we encountered was very friendly
