Business just opened and they are working out some kinks with their ordering apps. The owner says he only accepts Beyond Menu orders for now. But you will see several other apps to place an order but don’t use them. I don’t think I ever had Peruvian food and not Chinese food with a Peruvian flare. But I was disappointed. The chicken and broccoli portions were small but very flavorful. There was no sides of steamed rice with my two dishes. The egg drop soup was some of the worst I have had. The Sesame Chicken was the worst I have had. It is not battered like typical Chinese food. I did like the combo rice and would recommend it.

The owner is also the chef and cashier. He is a nice guy so if you know what you are ordering then support him but don’t go here expecting your typical Chinese style of food. Also I think the food is priced too high for the portions that I received.

Chifa is what Chinese restaurants are called in Peru. In some areas of large cities, there can be 2 or 3 on the block. Chifas are a mainstay of Peruvian culture and dining (like curry in England, TexMex in Houston). Famous Peruvian cuisine has many Chinese influences. There many Chinese in Peru who were brought there by the Spanish (read about it, quite interesting).

Great place with accesible prices. The interior was pleasant for a strip mall location. We decided to take advantage of the lunch specials which are a bargain. Two of us had Lomo Saltado. One, who is of Mexican heritage was pleased with the flavors and presentation. Egg drop soup was great. For me, I would’ve prefer a bit more intense Peruvian flavors I grew up with. It seemed as they were holding back a bit for the local audience. I will need to try other dishes on the extensive menu. Next time I will try a typical Peruvian Chinese dish which was my initial driver for going. I was wanting a Chaufa, but went with the lunch specials. The missus had Tallarín Saltado which she loved. Recommend. Try it out for a change of pace.

Unfortunately wasted a whole hour waiting for the food, dirty silverware, poor service, rude and brought the wrong order. Had Jalea mixta and the seafood was raw and disgusting .All this with only 3 tables at the restaurant, on a Sunday afternoon. Drove an hour to eat here after seeing all the good reviews, unfortunately not worth it. When requested ice in a cup, there was so much water it seems they took it out of a cooler with melted ice and water. Would not recommend

I’m not very familiar with Peruvian food, but I know Kung Pao chicken is a Chinese dish. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was no one there. I waited for a few minutes and someone showed up. As I’m looking at another persons review this restaurant serves Peruvian food with Chinese ingredients. The order was for Kung Pao Chicken add broccoli and carrots. It cost me $20 and this is what I got. The meat looks like the same large chunks of meat used in the Peruvian dish. The chicken and peanuts are swimming in a “gravy” which is spicy but lacks flavor. I got two small florets of broccoli and no carrots. I would not recommend this restaurant for Chinese food.

Very impressed with Chifa in Pearland. The food was clean, fresh, and clearly made to order. The special fried rice was outstanding—the char on the pork was incredible and unlike any other Asian fried rice I’ve had. That depth of flavor really set it apart. Presentation was well done, and the atmosphere was better than expected—surprisingly nice for a strip-mall location. This is definitely one of those places you might not initially think to sit down and eat at, but you absolutely should. The food came out piping hot—I actually had to wait a bit before digging in, which says a lot about the freshness and quality. Highly recommend.

Chifa Peru immediately gives the impression of a classic Chinese takeout spot: quick-service layout, straightforward counter setup, and a menu packed with options. The name fits the experience—this is a true blend of Chinese and Peruvian cuisines, offering fusion dishes as well as classics from each culture. The atmosphere isn’t built for dine-in; it feels more like a small family-run spot focused on cooking rather than ambiance, which is understandable for the type of business it is.

Service was fast, helped by the fact that I was the only customer at the time, but the real strength here is the food. I ordered tallarines verdes, arroz chaufa, and an Inka Kola. Both dishes are known for bold, distinct flavors, and Chifa Peru delivered above expectations. Portions were generous, flavors were rich and authentic, and the food still managed to offer something a little different from other places serving similar plates. This is absolutely a spot I’d order takeout from again, and anyone searching for Chinese-Peruvian fusion should give it a chance.

There are a couple of drawbacks. They didn’t have chicha or the green salsa—both staples in Peruvian cuisine and something I personally consider essential alongside arroz chaufa. The menu also needs photos; even though I know most Peruvian dishes, I’m less familiar with some of the Chinese offerings, and newcomers might struggle to choose confidently.

Bias acknowledged: I lean toward Peruvian food. But even with that in mind, Chifa Peru outperforms some of the more well-known Peruvian restaurants in Houston when it comes to flavor. I’d confidently bring my Peruvian relatives here, and I don’t think it would disappoint anyone craving that true taste of home.
