Heavenly – The Foodie
I apologize for my camera quality, but man oh man this was the best seafood I’ve ever had! This was my first time trying a seafood boil and it did not disappoint. If seafood wasn’t so expensive I would be here a lot more often! We got snow crab, shrimp, potatoes, sausages, boil eggs, and corn! It was all so delicious. Definitely try this place out!

I am in utter shock at this portion size. I ordered the special k. And even though it says what it brings. I added the sausage and broccoli at extra cost. but I did not expect what was brought out. It should say on the menu. Only enough for 1 person. . Needless to say I will not be spending my money on these tiny portions again.

An absolutely wonderful place if you know what sauce to have on the side.. they do a generic boil which is okay because their sauces are quite savory. I would prefer to have an extra piece of corn and the half cut red russet potato and mark me up 2 bucks… We live in the greatest city. I do recommend.

We had the fried catfish with fried okra. Husband thought it was best catfish he has eaten. Very large portions for price for both items. I have a food allergy and server was very helpful. My plain steamed snow crab was also good. We would eat here again and shared info with our friends. Flavors were top notch!

Really enjoyed my first time coming to Storming Crab. Our server, Robynne, was amazing. She explained the menu and how the boils worked. The shrimp was as great, the snow crab legs were very good!! Highly recommend this place if the seafood hunger strikes.

I usually eat here a lot but this time I placed an order online for 2 pounds of shrimp head on and what I pour on my plate when I got home was not 2 pounds!! You guys are usually amazing but come on, look at the picture??

Delicious dinner at the Storming crab restaurant tonight. We had a feast of alligator, oysters, hush puppies, seafood bread, different types of crab, eggs, potatoes, and broccoli. All of it tasted great – we got the seasoning with garlic butter and no spice. YUM! The waiter was very nice and quick as well. King crab legs are the best!!!!

Better than Joe’s Crabshack. I used Joe’s as a comparison because it’s also a chain seafood restaurant that does boils. We had snowcrab and headless shrimp with sausage and corn. The seafood wasn’t overcooked and tasted fresh. The restaurant was clean and our server was attentive without being smothering.

I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. The atmosphere was great. Great menu selection, with lunch and dinner. Dinner being one pound, and lunch being half a pound. The cocktail sauce, being in house made tasting, was awesome. The Seafood bread was so tasty, I could eat that all day, plus you get one piece each complementary. I liked the fried scallops, but they got soggy pretty quickly. The french fries were okay, they have that nasty paper tasting coating like several of the junk fast food places, but theirs were cooked better, as in golden as fries should be. The crab cakes were just this side of okay. The cakes were too fat making the inside a little under cooked while the outside was perfect. Way overpriced for the two cakes you get! Time for the sad and bad. The lobster tails were very tasty, but omg over cooked, clearly from frozen, overpriced for the very low quality. The snow crab legs were extremely small, over cooked and from frozen, too. The Old Bay boil was good, how could you mess that up, with a nice touch of added heat. Lastly the bad. I asked if the onion rings were batter or cornmeal, after checking they said batter. Well they were not batter, but the cheapest, nastiest, frozen cornmeal junk rings that I have seen in quite some time. The menu has market prices listed, but those are the fresh never frozen prices, where what is served here is frozen low quality. The type you get for $6.99 at Kroger, frozen lobster tail. They charge almost three times that. Was not happy with the deception. Overall I would rate them at a two star, but gave them three as my sister spilled her drink and they were great about it.
