We had a great dinner. 30 minute wait was so much better than the other short staffed places around here that are over an hour like Longhorn and Roadhouse. Server was very attentive and friendly. Offered to go drinks which I loved. My tbone steak was very fairly priced and cooked to perfection. Complimentary croissants to start the meal. Everything was also brought out quickly. Very prepared and ample staff to provide service.

My Mother’s Day dinner was awesome!! I’m so glad me and my family decided to dine at cheddars. The atmosphere was great. The food was excellent and the service was the bomb. The young lady in the photo was our waitress. She was so kind considerate, patient, caring with me and my family. She met our every need I am not joking. Very disappointing experience. We just moved here and have been to two other Cheddar’s restaurants before; one in Oklahoma and one in Ohio. They were great…this one was not. Our wait time was almost double what we were told. The waitress was very nice. The food was absolutely horrible. My wife’s chicken fried steak was covered in way too much batter. Same for my chicken tenders and shrimp. One big clump of fried batter was on my plate too. I though it was a tender, but nope! We will not be going back!

First time here and we were very happy with our meal. Our service was a little slow, but not enough to change my rating. Atmosphere is very nice and comfortable. The food was delicious. We all had drinks and they were very reasonably priced and in large glasses. Manager came out and talked with us and was as comedic as he was nice. Our waiter Mike did a great job, even with all our request for more napkins, straws…etc.

The dessert/bread they bring out for free is pretty good. The steak was cooked horribly wrong. The ribs are super average. The monte cristo was very unique but I didn’t like it. Flavors didn’t mix well. Not their fault though.
But really I think Cheddars is an overrated Applebees. Some of the items look like they were ordered off a kids menu…. They weren’t.

Really had been wanting to check this place out. Had learned that this location would be shutting it doors on 7/24. So decided to give this place a try. It really felt like this place was just going through the motions. My waiter seemed resigned to his Faye. Therefore, his mind was already checked out. He was very nice. My gripes is he left us on an island. Our order wasn’t put in correctly, and they tried to charge us for that meal. It’s always sad to see a business shut it doors. However the service provided on your last weekend will not have you remembered well.

I don’t understand why they have such a mediocre rating … Because food was *AMAZING.* We got there at 9:30 pm on a Saturday, and it was packed. We waited for *maybe* 10 minutes to be seated, had our order taken right away by a very sweet girl (it was only her 3rd day). Even with a couple of hiccups with the service – this girl was such a sweetheart – that its hard to be upset because she was super busy and they were a little short staffed. Besides, we eventually got everything we asked for, and she will only get better over time!
This was such a positive experience that we will definitely be back the next time we’re in Fairview Heights!

Traveling with Turk
The food was fine. The server we had was not very attentive to us in particular. Could be a case of too many tables for 1 person. We were there for almost an hour and never got refills on the drinks. Actually didn’t see her again until it was time to get the check. I will try it again. Hopefully service will be better. The food was really good and they had surprisingly huge portions. I’ll change my rating if we get better service in the future.

Small wait before being seated. Loved the crossisant with honey butter on it. The margaritas were very good. My ribeye steak was cooked to order and hot. Outside crust on steak….excellent. wife had coconut shrimp and chicken tenders.
She said “The first coconut shrimp she’s had that actually had a good coconut flavor and tasted of coconut.” Server was excellent. We had a very good dining experience. Will be back..
