Really cute place. Clean. Good tunes. Lots of seating. Fake nice customer service, despite it being passive aggressive, it was fine. Very expensive, but compared to the only other places open at 4:30am in the airport, not bad. Even though they open at 4:30, and were 10 minutes late opening, took his sweet time to rearrange chairs, but didn’t tell those of us waiting that all they could offer was black coffee & yesterday’s blueberry muffins until 5am… until we were standing in line, apparently to his annoyance. Given the poor taste, they may even be day before yesterday muffins. Not even tea or juice?! I have to admit, part of me wonders if the lack of available items was due to the late opening. Coffee was awful and tasted like the cardboard cup it was served in. Overall, decent for the price & the menu looks great, had I had the chance to actually try any of it. I wish they were more transparent about timing & availability of items. A simple sign saying no food until 5am would lessen the frustration a lot.

Inside the Palm Springs Airport first terminal. Indoor and outdoor eating areas. Lots of staff but a little slow to respond to you. Good tunes playing overhead. Ordered the salmon sandwich/burger comes with chips or slaw and a Pepsi. The salmon was soft and flavorful. Decent sandwich for an airport spot. They also have a full bar a nice draft variety. Meal was filling and worth the cost. I say check it out.

Do yourself a favor when using Palm Springs International Airport when you get through security and out into the open air concourse (which is way cool in and of itself) and hang an immediate right and walk the short distance to the Aqua Caliente concourse building and just inside to your right is the Nine Cities bar and restaurant. (You can thank me later!). No wait, super quick service. Mariana was fabulous! Split a sandwich and each had a couple of margaritas. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, and truly appreciated our business. They are a great little gym tucked off in a corner that a lot of people aren’t aware of so wanting to help them by posting a review to get the word out! A great amenity for this super cool easy to use little airport. Give them a try next time.

We went to the nine cities restaurant at the Palm Springs airport today and it was LOVELY! Great food, fast service and nice atmosphere. But the real winner was our server, Mariana! She went above and beyond to take care of our family. We have three young children snd she made each of them feel special and taken care of! She was outstanding and so appreciated!

I have eaten here before, not sure if it’s exactly the same as before they did some construction. In any case, basically only giving a 4 because the servers were really nice, clearly busy but nice. Cocktails were good. They were out of a lot of different beers and wines, so not ideal. My irritation started with the fact I ordered a veggie sandwich, got a grilled cheese instead. Whatever maybe they misheard me, plus by the time I got food, there was no time to complain (plus they were busy and never came back other than for the check). On the subject of the check, $60 for a $13 grilled cheese, 1 white wine, and 1 martini, seemed SUPER high! I have a feeling something was charged in error, I’ve never seen an airport charge 5 star steakhouse prices for martinis. Again, no time to complain needed to get out to my flight.
It’s a great place to sit in the sunshine and relax, but if you’re in a time crunch or on a budget, be cautious.

Overall disappointed. The service was slow, which was unexpected for an airport where the servers know that clients have flights to catch. The chef’s Cali salad was extremely disappointing – small portion, poor execution, and really lacking on flavour – and way too expensive for what is provided.
