The ingredients tasted fresh, and the clear soup really let the vegetables shine, while the spicy side delivered real depth instead of just surface, level heat. Also loved the iced tea, which was good and helped balance out the richness of the meal.
Overall, this is a great spot if you want hotpot that feels thoughtful and well-balanced, not just aggressively spicy. Would definitely come back.
Veggie combo – We were disappointed they didn’t replace the veggie that we didn’t like. Because it was part of the elite freebie, we got it anyway but I wouldn’t order it if I come here myself. The yellow corn was very sweet.
Pork – good portion, good quality
Squid – I was very impressed with it. Taste really good if you like seafood.
Soup base – Disappointed that a few were out of stock. The numb spicy I didn’t like. It’s very spicy which is fine but it lacks flavor. I think if they use herbal or other soup base or just adding salt will improve the taste a lot better.
The herbal soup was very flavorful. Loved it! But a bit salty.
The quality of the ingredients was excellent, and you can tell a lot of care goes into how the food is prepared. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, which made the whole dining experience feel more elevated and relaxing.
If you’re looking for a hot pot place that offers something different and thoughtfully executed, this is definitely worth trying. I’d happily come back again.
Stumbled upon a super cute hot pot spot, and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! Every dish is infused with a touch of tea-inspired creativity, making the whole experience both tasty and unique. ✨
• Fresh & tender meats
• Crisp, colorful veggies
• Warm and attentive service
• Perfect vibe for a date night or a friends’ hangout
And the best part? The little teapot sitting on top of our milk tea is actually a take-home souvenir — how adorable is that!
Definitely adding this place to my list of go-to spots in Mountain View.
There is a wide variety of meat platters for dipping into the broth, which can be a single or split double pot. We chose an herbal chicken and a tomato chili broth. They had all kinds of bones, herbs and goji berries inside the chicken broth, which is a big improvement over a lesser place that just uses powdered broth. We ordered Angus beef with Jasmine and the Angus with Osmanthus. The beef was topped with flowers and tea leaves interestingly placed on the side of the meat.
The waiters and waitresses were attentive but communicating with them was a bit challenging at times since not all of them spoke English fluently. There’s also a bit tricky QR code menu ordering system for your phone that takes orders and is where you ultimately check out. If you have a large group, your party can join the same tab to place additional orders. But that can be somewhat challenging to coordinate, as it took some time before the group tab popped up on the browser.
The beef was fresh and good quality. It’s about $15 per platter for the beef, lamb, chicken and pork. They also have fresh and plump abalone, fish, noodles and vegetables. The space downstairs was a bit tight between tables along one side, but there was plenty of space on the other side that was left unoccupied until it got busier.
The sauce bar has some yummy sesame balls and neatly prepared sauces, garlic, cilantro, chili oil, peanut sauce and several other ingredients. They also had some fresh watermelon and grapes. Near the front door, there’s a soft serve ice cream machine that you can help yourself to.
Upstairs they have more tables and private banquet rooms for up to 12-16 people with their own karaoke sets. They apparently host fun events back there!
If you are looking for a quality hot pot alternative to Hai Di Lao that costs quite a bit less and is much easier to get a table at, I’d recommend checking out Four Seasons Tea House Hot Pot.
