Food is awesome in terms of chain standard. Delicious and warm. However the service is awful. Lack of staff. Took ages to place an order and ask for an extra plate. When we try to pay a bill it took me 10-min to wait. And then finally I reached out to a staff and ask for the bill politely. Later the another staff arrived and complained to me that I should not reach out to the staff for bill even though I’ve been waiting for a while. Disappointed to the experience. Understand that it is festive season and the staff are under pressure. Will not visit the store again in short term.

Pleasant meal; friendly service; just a shame about the noticeable cut backs of size of desserts (as per photo of the Honeycomb Cheesecake which was tiny and much smaller than previous visits). Also noticeable differences with less pizza toppings. However the staff were great!

In our opinion the prices were rather high considering the size of the meals. However the meals were very tasty and we enjoyed them.
We were served by a young lady called Nikola. She was lovely, very attentive and checked in on us to make sure our meals were ok and if we required anything. Could not fault her service. Also like the added touch of some nibbles with our drinks before our food arrived. It did not take long before we received our meals.

For years this Zizzi has been our go to restaurant for Valentine’s Day and we have always had a great experience, however this year was unfortunately different.

After being seated, no one came to serve us for 30 mins, and we didn’t receive drinks until we had been seated for 45 mins. Staff were really friendly and clearly trying their best, but clearly they were understaffed.

Guests who arrived later were queuing outside in the cold. We were next to the bar which was covered in empty glasses (see picture) which wasn’t a great atmosphere, compared to previous years where we have had heart confetti etc on the table. Tables behind us were not cleared for a long time and we saw staff arguing. Not very romantic unfortunately.

Food was tasty as always.

Special thanks to curly hair with glass girl was
Very professional so kind prefect service

I had a lovely experience at Zizzi. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help arrange a special birthday surprise for her, which made the occasion feel really special. The team were friendly and attentive, and the effort they put into the birthday arrangements was really appreciated.

The food was also very nice and everything came out well prepared. Overall it was a great visit and we’re very thankful to the staff for helping make the birthday celebration memorable.

We came here on a lovely sunny afternoon for lunch, and it was such a great experience. The location is super convenient too since it’s very close to Cambridge College.

We ordered quite a bit and honestly, everything was delicious. We started with a few drinks like orange juice, Coke, and some other refreshing beverages, which were perfect for the afternoon.

For starters, we tried the King Prawns Spiedini (slow-roasted king prawns on skewers) and they were really well done — flavourful and perfectly cooked. We also ordered the meatballs in a tomato sauce and the fried calamari, which came with a really nice tartar sauce. Everything was fresh, well-seasoned, and served nicely.

For mains, we went for a mix of pastas and flatbreads. There was lasagna, a few pastas in creamy cheesy sauces, and a vegan friendly veggie flatbread as well. My personal favourite was the Cresta di Gallo pasta in lamb and smoky tomato sauce — it was rich, comforting, and genuinely one of the best pastas I’ve had in a while.

Service was also excellent. Our server was very friendly, knew the menu inside out, and made the whole experience feel even better.

Overall, a really nice, chill spot for a good lunch. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back again.

Enjoyable lunch stop to escape the bustle of the busy streets. Recommend the cherry sour cocktail. Spicy king prawn has a nice balance of heat and cream. Kids enjoyed a 3 course menu with veg and pasta crisps or bread followed by pasta and ice cream. Plenty of seating so didn’t need a reservation. Like that you can build up order using QR code as you dine then settle total at the end.

This place takes slow food to an extreme. We waited for appetiser for a whopping 40 minutes. 20 minutes later we still haven’t got the food and was told to wait 15 minutes more. The waiters only said sorry but we received so many order. Jeez it was almost 2pm and only half of the restaurant was occupied. We had none of it and leave.

Maybe they make everything fresh from order, so we have to wait for their pasta to deliver from Italy, salt to be mined from the himalayas, fish to be caught out of the Atlantic, and potatoes to be planted. I’m surprised that they only promise all this in 1hr and 15 mins! Alas my lunch break didn’t last that long otherwise I would have tasted this divine mouthwatering dish!

I hope the management takes this seriously. A lot of people left with us so they must have waited quite a while as well.

Here are some alternative for serious and honest Italian food, unlike yours:
– Aromi next door have excellent pizzas
– Franco Manca is decent
– Tesco Spaghetti Carbonara Taste of Italy

Tap water tastes fine though.

Vlad gave fantastic service to our group during a busy Valentine’s Day lunchtime. He was friendly and funny and added to the lovely dining experience. Food was great and came out in a timely manner especially for how busy the restaurant was. The lady in red managing the front door and seating us was also very lovely and managing pushy customers in the queue very well. Props to the team for delivering us a lovely dining experience from start to finish at such a busy time.
