The Dive Bar in Tavernier has officially become one of my new favorite places in the Keys! The new ownership has completely transformed the vibe—you can feel the energy the moment you walk in. It’s fun, welcoming, and full of that laid-back Keys charm that everyone loves.
The atmosphere is outstanding. Whether you’re grabbing a drink with friends or kicking back to enjoy the breeze, the views alone are worth the visit. Add in great music, friendly staff, and a crowd that actually feels like locals having a good time, and you’ve got the perfect mix.
And the food? Shockingly good—in the best way. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and priced so reasonably that you almost feel like you’re getting away with something. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the vibe and the menu, but The Dive Bar pulls it off effortlessly.
If you haven’t checked it out yet, don’t wait. This place is the real deal and absolutely one of the best hangs in Tavernier right now.
You’re welcome

The food truck here was very good. I had a chicken quesadilla and the smoked fish dip. My friends had other bites they enjoyed as well. The serve beer, wine and spritzers for drinks. Dog friendly, live music and friendly locals. Will recommend and return next time I’m in the area.

This is no doubt one of those hidden gyms. Back off the road behind a parking lot in the marina. I didn’t even make a review about this place because I don’t want no one to ever find it. But that would be very unfair of me. Be it known that this is not a hard booze bar. But when you get there, have a beer or hard iced tea sit down at one of the picnic tables enjoy the view and you’ll thank me that I told you about this place. shhhhhhhh together let’s try to keep this place secret, though

This place is tucked away. Located at Mangrove Marina, it’s right up against the bay. Emily is friendly and a good bartender. The view is very nice. Live music many evenings. Check it out if you’re near Tavernier.

Great place. Our favorite of the places we visited. Good vibe. Friendly staff and people. Good drink choices. Great musician. And fantastic lobster roll. Probably the best I’ve ever had. Even better than those on the northeast coast.

Ok, kind of cheating on the food as that’s Bites on the Bay. But the atmosphere is chill and laid back. Friendly and is really the Keys vibe!

I got the blackened shrimp tacos and they were filling and delicious.
The tater tots were amazing, crunchy and just the right amount of salt.
My mother in law got the BLT it was amazing
My father in law got the hoagie and it was huge.
My dad said the nachos needed some more toppings but it was really amazing.
My husband’ got the Burger and it filled him up for the rest of the day!
Eat lunch or Dinner with a beautiful view!

This is really a great place. They have added a larger area under roof so that you get some shelter from the sun or other bad weather. The food truck has great food and is open along with the bar. There are no mixed drinks from the bar. The bathrooms and pool are close. The area overlooks the marina and they have plenty of parking

Bites on the bay provides good burgers and fries at a reasonable price. The bartenders are really nice and efficient and the open nature of the space, cleanliness and dog friendly vibe is sweet. Not your usual bar, just serves beer and wine and sodas.
A marina is right there.
