Cute place to go and get food with your loved one or family and enjoy a nice dinner. My boyfriend and I sat inside since it was hot outside (summer weather!) and was really nice and air conditioned. Food came out quick and it was delicious. I got the fried shrimp with fries. It was delicious! We also got the Reeces Cheesecake. It was pretty good, the breading on the bottom tasted like dark coffee beans, not a huge fan, but really good overall!

First timer, stopped in for lunch. Staff was very friendly and has a nice high-ceiling sports bar vibe with big TV wall. To start the fried pickles and sauce were super tasty, can tell they were higher end pickles. However, the breading doesn’t hold well and the whole pickle slice comes out with a single bite. Small tip would be to reduce the surface moisture more so the batter sticks better. The All American burger was huge, had nice grill marks and filling, perfect medium, but for sure needs to be seasoned, super bland. Hit that with more salt/pep right before grill. My girl had the Pickle Fried Chicken w/ Vermont Cheddar. She couldn’t stop raving how delicious it was, I had a few bites and it def was the show stopper. When labeled Pickle Fried Chicken though, we figured it was marinated in a pickle juice to add flavor, but just two bigger spears below the chicken. The breading is also Italian Seasoning like a cutlet, not crispy fried chicken like one would think. Will go back to try other dishes as well, overall 4/5

This was a very nice place but! Burger wasn’t cooked as I asked. I said medium but it was well, well and dried out.

Adventures In South Jersey
My wife and I were given tickets to a show so we went to Pitman for an adventure! We decided it get dinner and drinks at Merryman’s Pub, it was less than a block away from the theater. We had never been to Pitman before but the old historic building seemed like a place the locals have been patronizing for years. We were impressed when we walked in with the big windows and the stone walls. It was built in 1907 and was the site of the town’s first bank. It was 5:30 on a Saturday night and there were no tables available without a reservation so my wife got the one seat open at the bar. In a few minutes a man got up and gave me his seat so we lucked out. The bartender’s shirt said it was Pitman’s first pub so I figured it had been around awhile. Then I noticed it also said established in 2020. Apparently it’s the first restaurant in Pitman to ever serve alcohol which explains why we haven’t been here before. I ordered a Bonesaw IPA and my wife got an old fashioned. We had the short rib pie and a burger. The highlight of our adventure was watching the bartenders light the orange peels on fire to make the cosmopolitans, it felt like a magic show! After seeing it done a few times, we decided to try one. Merryman’s Pub is the cool new spot in town but still gives you an old historic feel!

The food we ordered was good (once we got the right order). They don’t serve any big meals like a larger diner or restaurant. It’s mostly bar food and fries (lots and lots of fries!)

If you have gone through Pitman, you have probably seen this magnificent place on your travels. Outside is a beautiful looking building with chairs outside and a telephone booth. The wait for a table here can be a tiny bit hectic due to it being so popular, but its worth it to give it a try.

Wait staff was very nice. That being said, I will not be returning. The food was ok, nothing great, nothing terrible. The prices were insane. The cheapest thing on the menu was French fries, and that was $10. There was nothing, not even FRIES, under 10 bucks on the menu. To add insult to injury, on your bill there’s a nice little note saying they charge 3.5% for credit cards. Hey, get out of here. You’re paying for the privilege of what? Eating in an old building that’s blandly renovated inside? The food is not worth the price and the upcharge for credit cards is nuts. No thanks.

Pros: Very interesting building turned into a pub. The waitress ( Ashley) was attentive and friendly. Would recommend her. The food was ok. Best thing tried was the steak egg rolls. Very clean bathroom and some what kid friendly.

A good local place to eat and grab a drink. Nice atmosphere. Good vibes. We sat at the bar. Our bartender was both busy and friendly. We rdered a bowl of Italian Wedding Soup and the Mac and cheese. Both were very good. We both ordered top shelf drinks. And they were priced as we’d expect. The food was priced higher than expected, but with the overall impact from Covid, I wasn’t surprised. Bottom line is that I’m looking forward to another visit.

Went for the first time for dinner a few days ago. Location is very nice and service was good but the food and drinks were extremely disappointing. The mixed drink was watered down so much that it tasted like straight up juice with water. The appetizer hardly had any chicken in it, but if you like to eat cream cheese with buffalo sauce it’s a choice for you. The flatbread was loaded with so much cheese it was almost inedible. Even for bar food the quality was a huge let down, not to mention that the prices make you expect anything but bad bar food; not to even mention that you get charged an extra 3.5% for using a card! Overall a huge let down and we will not be back again.
